It's been years since Formula One etc. stopped allowing spectators to be so close to the vehicles. In an era that sees F1 cars have covers over the cockpit, Isle of Man is still a SPECTATOR SPORT. I stopped watching F1 years ago, when they seemed to forget they are a SPECTATOR sport. When they made the racing as safe as playing miniature golf...... and got rid of the 20,000rpm beautiful-sounding engines....... forget it, F1 is no longer a spectator sport. Isle of Man is a great adventure to watch!
