Wow Dipper the revolution used to fly, they look much faster than these days. All the false hype for Big One is so funny, knowing now that it would never be anywhere near as good as Magnum which had already been open 4 years!

Really awesome footage, I remember visiting Chessington in the 90s and how open the Vampire ride area was back then. We styed in the Travel Inn that's near the park entrance and you could really clearly see it running round from your bedroom window, which had me transfixed! By the time we returned in the early 2000s the trees had grown massively and all you could really make out was the first lift. I've not stayed there since but I'd imagine you can see no sign of it at all now!

There used to be a ride there in the 80’s called “The Ranger”, a smaller enclosed pirate ship but went full 360, it was terrifying. I remember one of the restraints not working and there was just a note on it saying do not use!! Health & safety back then hey? Also getting rid of the wild mouse was a terrible decision, was one of the best white knuckle rides in the park but “The Revolution” was always my favourite, must have rode it several hundred times all in all. Great vid and thanks for sharing.

Awwww would have been when i was in there so often lol as a teen. We used to jump over a little wall at the back where the underground car park is lol Of course I paid to get in often as well with my cousins and things especially when younger, but with school friend or two we would sometimes get in that way for free cheekily and have a great time. Enterprise, Mary rose, tri star, big wheel, looping star. Jesus watching this takes me on a massive trip down memory lane lol not just Bemboms but other things as well. God I miss those days so much

Great footage. I just noticed at 5:34 that the lake bridge in the distance is painted in a green-ish colour and white. Home video I have from June/July 1992 shows the bridge to be painted in a dark red colour. Does anyone know when the colour from red to blue was changed?. The colour was changed again in 2013 to a cream colour. I think the bridge was still painted red as far back as the 1960s.

From 1975 to 2018 - I visited most years, sometimes went two or three times a year, lived and worked in the Town when I was 19 Not been back since September 2018 - Sadly the Town has fell off a cliff. Great Video anyway, life wasn't perfect back in 1993 - BUT it was a LOT better that what the UK is now.

I remember them building the Pepsi Max, then when it was built looking over from my classroom at Palatine High School. I was 11 then, great memories of a time when Blackpool was on top form. I don't live in Blackpool anymore, but it will always be home, growing up there, coming of age there, going to collage in Bispham, then ultimately leaving in 2004. I had a drive over a couple of years ago, and was shocked by how much it's changed, and was gutted to see that Palatine had been demolished, had some great memories of Palatine and my form tutor Mr Whalley, and what a Whalley he was, in a good way 😂
