Tips and tricks from a person who went through this fear! ( sorry if there are any mistakes) Facts: 1. Planes nowadays are one of the safest and fastest transports! 2. Take off is not always bad, it depends of the captain and plane! 3. Flying after take off is like staying at home, u do not fell the plane moving( mostly on big planes) 4. The bigger the plane the better! 5. If u have a long flight I would recommend to save up for bisness class! Tricks 1. How to make time to faster - watch movies -try to sleep or close ur eyes - go to the toilet and explore it 2. How time goes by -lets say u have an 9 hour flight • the first hour goes by very fast •u can watch movies for minimum of 3-4 hours • u will sleep at least 1 hour • hour goes for eating • 1 hour movies • 1 hour before landing goes very fast! - which leaves us with only 1 hour left! Tips: - where to sit,I personally recommend the middle part, and take the outside part, so u have space and don't bottlper people getting up - food, depends on you, but I recommend eating something that is NOT fried and eat something healthy, since it will give u energy and u will fell better! - drinks- as for teens I recommend to get a coca-cola to keep u in good condition or water with lemon which is my personal favorite and would recommend 10/10 ( keeps u anergyzerd and gives u motivation to drink more water), as for adults a good old wine will give u a good sleep or again whatever u want! DO NOT GET TEA OR COFFEE, MOSTLY IT HAS BACKETERIA! Storytime of me having my long flight: last month I had to do an 8 hour flight AND OVER THE OCEAN, and before that I had a 3 hour flight! The first flights take off was literally so scary for me and I thought I was gonna die,but there was nothing I could do then just to calm myself. We landed and I was so thankful, but next was the 8 hour flight from London to Washington DC! 2 minutes before boarding my plane I felt sick and I was literally unconscious, since I was so scared! I boarded last with my family and it happened that we got free bisness class! I was amazed and everything in it made it way better! The first 2 hours were an amazing experience and umm, since I didn't eat for around 10-11 hours i had no energy and literally couldn't move and I wanted to sleep so bad! But I just couldn't, I kept waking up and releasing I am in the air flying hundreds of feet up! Thankfully my mum calmed me and told me everything will be fine and I slept for 4 hours! When I woke up I was so happy, that we were landing! When we landed I felt so happy and relaxed! And ofc I did have to get back, and ummm.. long story short, but we took of and when we were over Greenland we took back to Boston since there was a problem with one of the engines,we had one extra night in the USA in Boston, which felt magical, the next day we finally went home we flew for only 7 hours and I didn't sleep the whole time I watched 6 movies and I was finally home! THANKS FOR READING I WISH U LUCK WITH UR FLIGHT! REMEMBER EVERYTHING WILL BE OKAY! 💗

I’m not afraid of the aircraft actually crashing, but more so feeling trapped and not being able to get the help that I need if something goes wrong with myself.

Hey I went through this! I actually experienced that on the plane! I would recommend drinking water with lemon every 7-10 mins! And when u feel trapped DO NOT close ur eyes! Instead get up and go for a walk through the plane!

It’s because you’re 40,000 feet in the air in a tube so you feel way more vulnerable and with less control. It’s nothing to do with probability of crashing.

Hey I experienced that I bit.... I was going from Washington DC to London we boarded then plane and about 4 hours in the plane, we went back to Boston, happens that there was a problem with the engine, cabin crew said there was smoke inside and outside, we landed safely and people came to inspect the plane! They took us out very fastly, even if the engine didn't work nothing would really happen since we had 4 engines! But if u got 2 and 1 breaks down un can safely fly for about an 1 hour

Everyone always says to me “it won’t hurt” It hurts Everytime So bad I get shaky and I feel sick. My breathing gets laboured and I hate it all. It can’t control it. I have no clue why it happens. Saying it won’t hurt doesn’t help and it’s honestly just annoying. I have a low pain tolerance along with always being tense when I get needles.

I appreciate the effort put into making this video, but all the calmly spoken reasons, cartoons, and happy music in the world don't address one fundamental fact about the fear of flying: It is IRRATIONAL. The fear of flying does not originate in the neocortex like the concepts of logic, visual representation, and music that you used to try to tell people why they shouldn't be afraid. It originates in the limbic system--the most primitive part of the brain. The limbic system doesn't give a shit about logic, cartoons, or happy music. You may as well use your video to try to teach a lizard not to be afraid of flying. What might be helpful would be a video that helps fearful flyers learn techniques on moderating the sympathetic nervous system's response to flying.

It's not the flying that scares me , or the planes, or the tech. it's the people. people can get weird in their heads and do weird stuff on a plane , which makes it unsafe.

The statistics does not tell the whole truth, if you spend as many hours in a year in a plane as you spend in your car, you will be caught in some sort of accident!!

This video came up on my feed and I had to laugh. Boeing planes are a disaster these days. I'd feel safer if the Boeing executives and their board of directors were forced to fly in the same planes as us ordinary people

I can’t lie man, this video helped my fear so much! I actually fly 3 to 4 times a year for vacation, and the only thing that was getting me through my fear was my love for my wife. I literally just got back from New York yesterday and it felt like the longest 4 hours of my life 😂 thank you so much!

Aye, you`re more likely to die in a car crash than you are in a plane crash. But you are also more likely to be in a car crash than a plane crash. For every car crash there`s been there will be a far larger percentage of those passengers who survided than those numbers that have ever been in a plane crash. In short, I`d rather be in car crash than a plane crash.
