My guess would be a plugged catalytic converter. You should check the error codes before replacing anything.

Is there a pipe plugged or bent after the muffler? Anything that would restrict the exhaust from getting out?

It's mainly tack. It has to be sprayed down before asphalt is laid down so it sticks to the surface. It sucks, especially for construction drivers. We hate it too, but you get smooth roads!!!

I have a 2004 GMC HD2500 extended cab with the gas 6.0 litre motor and Dormans website gives me 919-144 part number per vin number. They are only $77 on Amazon, but the stupid "confirmed fit' on Amazon's page says that they do not fit my vehicle. Makes me worried about buying them, but I think Amazon just needs to get their act together and use the VIN number instead of assuming it's something like a crew cab or regular cab.
@MudRFunRАй бұрын
I have noticed that too that you can't totally count on Amazon parts match to be correct. I had a similar problem finding the proper windseild washer pump. It showed 2 different style pumps for a GM pickup.

Had this just happen yesterday, stupid ass construction crew sealing parking lot cracks never put up any signs as to how long to stay off or how long it would take to dry. It will scare the crap out of you at freeway speeds.

Yes that shook my whole truck at normal speed. Must be scary at highway speeds.

03/24/24 From Tucson , just came across your video and liked the way you described your work . I take it you’re north of our border when I noticed the gauges . I have a’06 LBZ that was just worked on , the transmission had to be dropped to repair a leaking gasket that was letting the water drain out . What impression you made with your engine nice and clean goes a long way and thanks also I too learned something from you . Hope your days are sunny, Will

Fender Flares=Mud catchers=Rust production factories! Seemed like a great idea,..... What could possibly go wrong?

You are so right. I almost instantly regretted putting them back on. I replaced both fenders and the box. It would have been an ideal time to leave them off.

Thank you for the video. I also have a leak at 2 connections at the abs module. A super slow leak when pumping the pedal. I saw you said you had a leak, what was the issue and how did you fix it? Thank you for your time.
@MudRFunR4 ай бұрын
My leak was a from a rusty brake line that had a hole in it. So, replacing the lines fixed it. I'm not sure why your connections would leak. Can you tighten them up more without damaging it?
