I’m not really getting those that are writing off the game completely. Is it goty quality? No it is not but it’s still a solid game in opinion. It may not have the smoothest of performance. The story is basic the characters are not what I would call memorable but I like the world design, the magic gunplay and traversal abilities the enemies are cool. There are flaws as much as I’m liking this game I can’t say it’s perfect but there’s effort here the devs tried and as a first attempt from the studio on this type of game I’d say they did a great job. It’s a shame it got lost in the shuffle and i got it on sale for $35 I think when I got it not full price. Whether it’s worth full price or not I think that depends on what the person buying it expects. I think releasing this at $70 though between other big releases last year with the flaws it does have didn’t help it. Still those that are still curious and like the gameplay and design they see consider checking it out. I know it’s on gamepass right now maybe some of you have it on your ps plus accounts when it was put up as a free game a couple months ago. Again I don’t think this is a 9 or 10 game. Can’t really give it much more that a 7.5 if I’m being unbiased but I also don’t think it should be completely written off though and those saying the story is short only 10-12 hrs you are right but I don’t think many mention the side exploration. Which has some cool things to do for those that like the gameplay. Hopefully this one that’s considered a cult hit or something and gets a sequel someday cause with some improvements maybe a better story and smoother performance at launch this game has potential. I don’t disagree that much of what’s here plays it safe by gaming standards but I just don’t like to write off every game that doesn’t blow our minds with a new mechanic. Sometimes it’s nice to have a game like this that plays it safe and fun to play.

I played the game a few months after release and heard about it from word of mouth by my boyfriend at the time. It wasn't until I finished the game and wanted to watch videos about it did I find out how "bad" it was. I was shocked, and still am. Definitely one of my favorites, and definitely my most underrated game played so far

I played it on release and did not like it. I recently got it on a sale, worth every penny!

I played Lost in Random some years ago and to this day it still sticks with me for its world, art and what it does with its unique gameplay, even if i got somewhat frustrated with it at times. What surprises me the most, since yesterday, is that a new LiR game was announced. I'm personally excited and intrigued but MANY people are bashing it for being a Roguelike with isometric perspective. They're not even giving it a change or already saying that the world has lost its charm. Which i find depressing. I'm here for more LiR and will be giving the game a chance. What may be interesting to know, is that seemingly some of the devs at Zoink! (which made LiR as well as Stick It To The Man, Flipping Death, Zombie Vikings and some others0) have made a new studio called Moonhood Studio. They appear to be working on a game made with 3D stopmotion environments and models. Other games with really strong art design that i easily remember, are Cookie Cutter, Blud, Harold Halibut, and i want to throw Zet Zillions in here too. Some future ones that have caught my eye where it concerns stunning art direction, would be My Familiar and Judero. And i'm throwing Bad Boro, Decline's Drops and Ruffy and the Riverside in here as well.

As far as creativity and craftsmanship, no one compares to games by Amanita Designs. Hand-drawn games almost always have flat colors or they apply a wash to give the illusion of detail. This cuts down on a lot of the hard, intensive work. Amanita does the hard part and does it well!

LAST BOSS TOO HARD...JUST DON'T I was playing on ''story mode'' and the last boss was harder than any boss fight I ever had in Elden Ring!!! It is simply dragged out way too long and no checkpoints. One mistake you start from the beginning. At this point I gave up and moved on to a different game. I advise playing until you reach the final boos, then quit. No damn reason why a boss fight should be this damn long. I was on phase six...yes SIX...and died. The game devs would all be fired if I had any say so in it.

I loved this game. I didn't read any reviews before I purchased it, so I went in just based on the description. And I have played it through a couple of times. The story is unique and to be honest, I was hoping to see a second game to see where the story goes. One of the best games I have played in a long time. Not sure why everyone is being so negative about it.
