This is awesome! I was looking for something like this for quite sometime and am so glad for this tutorial. I did have one question regarding the SQL for numbers, I did use the script you used (select * from games where emuid=1 and GameName like "a%" and visible=1), but for tables that have a numerical value (007 Goldeneye) what do you place in exchange for the letter 'A' ? Thanks again for this! **edit will do just a separate playlist for numbers since there aren’t that many 👍🏼

I wish people would stop claiming their KZfaq videos are 4K. KZfaq doesn't support 4K videos. Despite their claims, KZfaq only supports up to UHD. (4K is 4096 x 2160. UHD is 3820 x 2160)

This is not the video resolution but the fact that the cabinet is 4k. And by the way, youtube supports 4k ultra hd.

Wow! Love this build! I'm also 2 years into building my rig, so close to being finished. But now I am totally gonna have to steal your Window tint idea as I also have diffused LEDs just like yours. Hope you don't mind! In return, let me share with you one of my cool additions. My lock bar looks similar to yours, held in with magnets for easy removal and access. However I also have a second bar I can swap out with 2 player Joysticks and buttons to turn the machine into an awesome vertical MAME cab! Appreciate all your content, I know it's helped me immensely with my build. Such a great helpful community!

what is the benefit of the tint film? I would think you would want the playfield as bright/vibrant as you could get it??

It is to hide what shows outside the tv frame. The lights are still very bright. Too bright is not good either as it blinds and reflects.

What kind of Fuses are you useing for the Solonoids?
@MajorFrenchy
@MajorFrenchy 7 күн бұрын
It depends of the draw of the Solenoids. I have a 3 amps for the real pinball solenoids and a 2 amp for the 12v solenoids . When in doubt, use a smaller value and if it blows, increase it. That's what I do.

I’m experiencing a weird issue where the puppak works but the video is very slow, like one frame every few seconds. Running a 3080Ti with an i5 12th gen and 32GB of RAM so I don’t think it’s a hardware issue. Have you seen this before? I’m almost at the point of deleting all files and reinstalling from scratch.

I have been working at this for a while now and cannot get a bunch of PUP packs to work. I have them in the PUPvideos folder, have selected the bat files (tried multiple to see if any will work) and cannot g3t them to show up on my 3 screen setup for the Matrix, Ren and Stimpy, Futurama, Demolition Man, Twister, Stargate, etc. Everything works great otherwise in Popper or when running directly in VPX but absolutely no PUP packs ever work, no videos or anything. There's got to me something causing this. They aren't hidden in the back at all, they just don't run even when I try the bat files. Any suggestions?

If I understood correctly, you said that you would be giving away the ElectroIndia boards. I would really love to have one. I have built three of the red board 0-30V/0-3A type and they all failed, eventually, due to manufacturer faults. I found that to be immensely frustrating. So, building one that would actually work would be a check off on my bucket list. Thank you for considering me.

Hi, Excelent video! I want to ask you about a problem I have with the green mosfet board. The kl25z signal is sent and 3.3v reaches the mosfet board, but it does not activate the output signal. I read that this mosfet board needs at least 3.5v to activate the output. How could it reach that voltage? I clarify that I removed the blue LED from the mosfet board to increase the voltage, thank you very much

Well my flat pack just arrived from pinballcabinet, going to be following this video pretty closely. Wish me luck! Any other tips since the making of this video for assembling the cabinet? more/less nails, screws, support pieces recommended? How did you measure/decide where to mount the playfield monitor?
@MajorFrenchy
@MajorFrenchy 2 ай бұрын
Taking your time, using a lot of wood glue and strapping it well while drying are probably the most important things to keep in mind. Try to dry fit so you know how to mount it and when you are ready to glue, you will already be familiar with what goes where. As for the Playfield, it will depend how big your screen is, whether or not you want to leave room at the back for a DOT Matrix or 5 LED Bar, I would say start with building the Hinges Playfield panel and set your TV on it to get a good idea where you want it. For me, I want the bottom of the screen as close to the coin door as possible. Good Luck!
