Hi Josh, greetings from Poland 👍🏻 I really enjoy your channel and all the tips and tricks you show here. Would you consider making an updated guide for hosting multiple websites on home Ubuntu server? Something with control panel or web-ui to make things easier just like on paid hostings. I try to follow the guides here on youtube but the commands give different results or the packages were modified and do not offer certain functionality anymore. Cheers

I really appreciate the black representation you provide in this career space. It's refreshing and inspiring to see a face that looks like mine speaking about the same things I am interested in professionally and as a hobby. Beautifully made video, thank you for being someone I can look up to in this space. I JUST earned my A+ exam and plan to fill my room wall with certs. I'll continue to study hard and have fun along my IT journey.

Like Degree is used to filter. If I had to get a degree today I would cheese my way through WGU because its cheap and can be completed quickly. Then when I have more money and just because I genuinely like to learn in an Academic institution environment I would go for a cheap masters like the one Georgia tech offers in computer science online or data analytics. It's a new world dont have to spend 100k on an education, but make sure your work and portfolio is pristine.

My son’s have seen the tech jobs are being outsourced. Both have their masters degrees and one in a doctorate program. Both decided to have careers as teachers. Need more black male teachers.
@thespadestable2 күн бұрын
@alonzosmith6189 - More male Black teachers for what? It's a system ran by women and treats male teaches as goffers to quell the restless natives. If a Black male teacher can't land a spot at one of the better school, or best schools in the district, he shouldn't waste his time, because he's wasting his time and energy. Let the women clean up their own mess they and the school admiration have created and fueled.

With today’s high interest rates and inflation, younger men will think about getting to the money now to survive instead of hitting the books for 2-4 years. IMO 🫡

It might be true that more females go to college, but if many of them get useless liberal degrees it is basically like not getting a degree that helps in the real world

If you don't know what you want to study at college, nor want to be burdened with college debt, then drive a truck for a while After 5 years, a spotless record, you could be making six figures working for Walmart or Amazon.

Men are majority in all fields that actually matter. What men are refusing is to get bs degrees. Tbh, I think we should be expanding professionalization schools for people like that guy at the beginning. The world need carpenters, hvac technicians and car mechanics much more than most higher education careers. Unless you're a doctor or an engineer, in the end of the day, your diploma just is not a career. Personally I find the whole experience kinda infantalizing. Like, you probably know that 25yo who does nothing but study for college and has his family paying his expenses. Obviously they have no understanding of things like money and what having a job is actually like. They're always in this state of arrested development, acting like teenagers. but that's what you want you, make college more attractive to young men. All right, so, I say first, make it more like professionalization schools. More hands on, less bs, a place where you actually learn a trade. And when I say "hands on" I'm not talking about crap like the PBL method. Cut the politics. Crazy politics in inescapable in most campuses. I guess that's more on the students than anyone else. But, if you gave me the option to go to a normal university or one where protests and disrupting other prople's classes was forbidden I would immediately chose the later. Raise standards. If you can get a degree and still have no idea of what you're doing that degree is bogus. I know too many people in that situation.

make college more like a dojo a place where you cultivate discipline where the instructors are respectable where they show you the way to earn their respect where you can see your progress

I believe public universities should go back to being affordable, to how they were before politicians decided to make college students public enemies. Because in the 60s/70s so many students were against the war efforts. The politicians made a push to make higher education less attainable, and to increase the reasons join the military. Personally I didn't go to a university after high school because I didn't want to burden my parents, and didn't want to deal with student loans. Just decided I'd go back for an associate degree in Computer Science from a technical college.
@thespadestable2 күн бұрын
@juanmacias5922 - Go back, why? If the market shows students are willing to pay, let's say for example, $100k for a 4 year educations, only a fool would reduce it to 75K. This is not a smart business practice. If Chevy can sell their base model Bronco for $50k, it makes no sense reducing it to $30k; the market says if feels it's work $50k base model. Meaning, the next level up will sell for more, then when you add leather heated/cooling seats, power seats, and sunroof, it will sell for close to $60k before the $1800 in taxes and fees.
@juanmacias59222 күн бұрын
@@thespadestable idk if you noticed I stated public universities. They are subsidized, and our public education system shouldn't be capitalized/privatized. We are the richest country on the planet. Yet invest the least on our people. Think about that. And you can't say that we couldn't afford it, there is a college in Kentucky called Berea College who doesn't charge tuition, they are able to manage with donations. Instead of seeing everything as a company (which usually results in expensive lesser quality results, the Texas power grid is a great example of that) we should treat them as necessary services, that shouldn't treat people like customers.

Job Corps is another option.I believe it offered to ages 16 to 24 now they have IT classes.
@thespadestable2 күн бұрын
Job Corp is pretty much a paying jail stay. They have so many problems with fights, drugs, and other behavior, plus their programs have not kept up with the changes in industry. Some people try to say if a person applied themselves and stay away from the bad seeds Job Corp would be right for them, it the person doesn't have a criminal history, drug/alcohol problems, health, and weight issues, they'll come out better going into the military.
@ccetlot51214 сағат бұрын
@@thespadestable Last I checked the Job Corps required a 30 day waiting period after signing up. Why 30 days? Because too many entrants fail the drug test at enrollment. This was a few years back, things might have changed. Not everyone lives in the dorms (merit based army style quarters on entry to 2 person apartment style rooms depending on the student). There were lots of vocational options with outstanding students earning college scholarships (full ride) for academic achievement. And yeah, I went there, did same, life is good, only regret is not going back to thank the staff that put in the time and effort to bring me around.
@thespadestable12 сағат бұрын
@@ccetlot512 - If a male or female has the qualifications to join the military, that is their best bet for the long-term of their life. There is a major difference between "military style quarters", and actually being in the military. Also, with the right job, your 3-6 years of active-duty service is considered verifiable experience, not excluding you qualify for VA benefits; something that the Job Corp does not offer. Trades such as electrician, auto repair, and plumbing are looking for young men and women, who have the aptitude and the wiliness to learn while keeping their stuff in order, which does not require going into the Job Corp. The Job Corp makes it clear, the program targets those who are of a lower socioeconomic status. Basically, people who are poor, make up most of the students here. Many times, once you leave high school it's better to meet people of different ages, geographical locations, social-economic backgrounds, and education levels, because that is whereas a young adult you get a fair chance to break certain myth, assumptions, "logic", and prejudices early, in the attempt to make oneself a more well-rounded individual. Free housing, living allowance, meals, training clothing, medical care.....The military offers that, and some. Of course, to a qualified candidate.

Yo college is really a scam. They throw you into classes you don't need and say it makes you more well rounded. Like whatever, I don't need that. I agree with this kid, go to HVAC you can make a lot of money and own a company. I just don't believe that as a substitute teacher, this is true for a lot of Black and Latinos, but a lot of them are actually desiring to go to work force especially here in Spring Hill. A lot of people don't even know what they want to do. You ask them if this or that seem interested to them they like no. Some want to be fighters and or go to work until they figure it out.

Hi man, I followed your tutorial and it's really great, I can connect without a problem. However, when my friend (who's in a different house) tries to connect he gets this error : "connection timeout get sockopt". I think his firewall is the problem (he uses norton which seems to block everything apparently), but do you have a solution for this ?
