Very good #short presentation for the Manifold river. This behaviour of nature ie amazing! Here would be interesting to know exactly the coortinates of the sink holes :) 😊
@RoadForksOffbeat22 сағат бұрын
Good point! The most notable sinkhole, where the river disappears, is near Wetton Mill. The river typically resurfaces at #Ilam, but the exact locations can vary depending on water levels. The approximate coordinates for these locations are: 1. River Manifold Sinkhole (near #Wetton Mill): Latitude: 53.1057° N Longitude: -1.8291° W 2. Resurgence Point (near Ilam): Latitude: 53.0570° N Longitude: -1.8076° W Hope this helps. Cheers!

Bloody foreigners get your facts right before posting. The owners of the church want to turn the church into a mosque but are unable to because of the Church of England inserted a Covenant so it cannot be used for another religion. It can have a change of purpose eg Shop, cafe, gym etc but can only be used for Christianity when a place of worship. The train station has 3 platforms if you can count fella. Hanley park has many entrances which if you spent any time there you would have seen. I have no idea where you went to down that allyway but its not a main way out of the park. Those scumbags you talked to at the pub are not typical local people they are called chavs and they are very likely drug takers. Stoke has no more a drug problem than any other city which you would know if you indeed get around. When you visit places you need to take responsibility for what you say and show saying incorrect things can do great damage putting people off visiting and investors.

I went a few months ago, I expected the cave to be at ground level, so was quite shocked when I saw how high up it was. Seemed to take ages to walk up, but coming back down seemed a lot shorter 😂

This grade 11 listed building has not been used since 1980 built in 1778 it was last used as a antique cnetre and cafe wgich ckosed for good in 2020 ... The church of england sold this building but had a restricted covenant put on it.. and which probibits any place of worship to be used other than a church ... The owner must have been told this IT CANT BE ANYTHING ELSE THAN A CHURCH 😊

If Christians still used this church, then it would still be a church. You're making out like they're going to busy in use church's kicking out the Christians and handing it over to Muslims. That's not the case, but you're either to thick to realise, or you're deliberately trying to stir things up. Not everyon's as stupid as you so jog on

Hi I don't know if you will pick this up after a year but you seemed to be interested in the Cathedral's architecture, its size and shape etc. It is one of the smallest Cathedrals but it was never mean to be it was originally built as a parish church starting in 943. It was neglected over the centuries and in the 18th Century it was rebuilt incorporating some of the original building, so its a bit of a mixture. Derby was a town until 1977 and it became a Cathedral in 1927. It is also locally famous for a pair of Peregrine falcon that nest and breed every year on its tower.
