Wow! You both were awesome! Made me teary-eyed to realize what mothers go through at birth. My children are all grown with 20 grandchildren and 3 great grands. I am always amazed at this birthing process. So glad you were there!

What happened to Maddie?

I hope all is well with you all. This is the last post and that was a week ago.

I have a tiny herd, only two milking right now, and that is a huge fear, not being able to get one out and losing one of my beloved does. My entry to goats was buying 2 preggo Boers & I ended up having to go in pull 2 as they were stuck trying to come out at the same time. Didn’t have a clue what I was doing & no one with knowledge answering my calls. Had a copy of Raising Goats for Dummies (which one goat ate during this incident…no lie) & my 13-year-old daughter for help. I had lube & gloves & saved the 2 that were stuck plus the one waiting behind them. She already had 2 out (1 live & 1 stillborn) when I found her. I still have anxiety during birthing season. Thank you for loving your girls like you do and not just treating them as a business. Tippy and baby are beautiful.

Oh my gosh, that was so intense. How you knew what to do and were strong enough physically and emotionally to do it saved all their lives. Knowing you you were causing her extra pain, which was hard to see her go through was pretty tough to see. So happy you were there and did what you did.
