One of the best summer produce recipes! ❤️ ✨INGREDIENTS ✨ * 4 large red bell peppers-roasted * 4 large garlic cloves (minced) * 1/2 Cup onion (chopped) * 1/4 Cup fresh basil (chopped) * 1 Tablespoon olive oil * 1/2 Cup sour cream * 1/2 Cup greek yogurt * 1/3 Cup parmesan cheese * 1/4 tsp. salt * 1/4 tsp. black pepper ✨INSTRUCTIONS✨ Instructions for roasting Peppers: (optional) 1. Turn oven broiler on high. 2. Slice peppers in half and remove seeds. Place peppers (skin side up) on baking sheet. 3. Put on middle rack in oven and set the timer to 5 minutes. Check the peppers. If not charred set the timer for another five minutes and check them in three. The skins need to bubble and be charred black in spots. 4. Remove peppers from oven and put into an airtight container for about 10 minutes. 5. Strip the skin from the peppers. They should remove easily if they are properly charred. To make the roasted Red Pepper Sauce 1. Dice all vegetables together and simmer in skillet until garlic and onion are translucent. 2. Blend the pepper mixture with the sour cream and yogurt until smooth. 3. Pour back in your skillet. Stir in cheese and let melt on simmer. 4. Thicken the sauce by simmering, stirring occasionally until it reaches the consistency you desire. #redpeppers #gardenproduce #cookingfromscratch #roastedredpeppers

One of my favorite Christmas gifts to give as a foodie ❤️ ✨INGREDIENTS ✨ * 1.75 liter bottle (or two 750 mil bottles) vodka. We used Costco vodka. * You can also use bourbon for a bourbon vanilla extract * 30 Vanilla Beans (5 per 8 oz bottle) ✨INSTRUCTIONS✨ 1. Place the beans down into the jars. They need to be submerged completey to infuse so fold or cut the beans as needed to get down to the alcohol fill line. For our bottles we used five bean pods per bottle. 2. Set a funnel on the top of your bottle and fill the bottle to the fill line with vodka. Tip: Pour slowly and check the fill often so you don't overfill the bottle. Repeat process until all the bottles are filled. 3. Seal the bottles. 4. Clean off the bottle surface area you wish to label with an alcohol wipe (provided with the labels we purchased). 5. Afix the label to each bottle. 6. Set these clear bottles in a dark place in your pantry. 7. Shake the bottles at least weekly to help infuse the vanills into the alcohol. 8. This vanilla is ready in 6 to 12 months. #vanillaextract #homemadevanillaextract #vanillaextractrecipe
