I use my printer nearly every but all of a sudden, the magenta went out now the blue and yellow are gone. I need to print in color! and yes the tanks are full. I have cleaned it to no vail.......... Help Please!!

I agree with you, it is a nice printer. But I am a senior citizen and I need a back light on the menu board. I have to take a flashlight to see what the menu is saying for that reason alone I will return this printer. Not good for seniors who have a hard time seeing. Also you can't scan on both sides. Not good.

This is a great printer. It will print two documents to both sides of one sheet. However if what your printing is already double sided you have to have two copys. Or, you can copy both sides to the flatbed and flip it manually to scan the other side. In short, it will not scan an already two sided document on both sides it will only scan one side. I was used to my mx922 doing it automatically. I have been printing most photos on 4x6

You’re welcome. I also was trying to decide between the same two machines. I made the decision from Amazon’s one star evaluations. At that time the Canon machine had 15% one star evaluations. It has generally been my opinion not to order ANYTHING that had one Stars greater than 10%. I almost said no I’ll go with Canon.anyway. I’m very happy with he Epsom. Thanks again.

As a G7020 owner, let me issue an extreme caution: This review presents much useful information, but it completely misses the key negative points about the Canon Pixma G7020. I have owned mine for 23 months, during which I have printed 910 pages and have used 3/4 of a tank of each of the color inks!! This is because when the ink tubes or printhead clog, the "deep cleaning" function has never worked for me. The final (and only) option is to do an "ink flush". The "ink flush" cured my problem (for several months each time), but each usage uses 25% of a full tank of ink!!! So if you never have to do cleaning or flushing, you may get tremendous value from this printer. But if your printer clogs, it may soon turn into an expensive paperweight. How? Read on. That's just the beginning! One might ask --- where does the "waste ink" go? It is absorbed by a sponge called the "waste ink pad" in the bottom of the printer. Here is where things get dicey. The printer "keeps track" of your cleaning and ink flushing activities, and, at some point in time, decides that the waste ink pad is full. At that point, you get an error message 5B00 and the printer stops working. Now, for the truly amazing fact. The waste ink pad is not user replaceable. When this happens, Canon informs you, the printer must be replaced!! You "may be eligible for a factor upgrade purchase"!! This is the most amazing example of planned obsolesence I have ever seen. but you need to connect a cable that supports 1 GB that is not coaxial, they sent me the same xb8-t and it didn't work, they told me that they want to send me a technician and he charges $150 to put in that cable that comes from outside but I connect the previous xb7-t 800gbps and it works for me

@@stickyjoe7296 The problem was that the new one they sent me didn't work. I went to an authorized Xinfinity store and they gave me another xb8-t, this one did work and it's only connected to the coaxial cable from outside....If it's happening to you like me, you connected the one you had xb7-t and it worked fine and you connected the new xb8-t and it didn't work even if you did the procedure that is done, then it doesn't work, go to a store and get another one

@@stickyjoe7296 It is the same regular cable that comes from the street, the coaxial one. The problem was that the new xb8-t that they sent me didn't work. I went to a Xinfinity store and they gave me another one. I didn't pay attention to the technicians because they were going to send a technician and charge $150 and because the same technician I asked him if it had to be a special cable that they installed when installing the new xb8-t because I explained that I had watched a video where they explained about that special cable but they did not explain or show anything and he told me no, it was the same cable that was connected to the xb7-t on the street, which is the coaxial one, I connected the xb7-t 3 times and it worked. internet but when I connected the xb8-t it didn't work that happened on Saturday and on Sunday I connected the new one and it worked fine doing the same process that I told you before that there is no difference in the speed 800-1000 kbps I changed it because it expired the contract and they had the same promotion of the same price

What challenges did you have with it? I’m looking into buying a larger printer for my home and small business. I’ve had a baby PIXMA for 8years or so, so now that I’m looking to size up, in your experience , what should I be looking for in review reviews?

Loved it at first. Has the new, large tanks to refill the ink...no more cartridges. yea! Have used canon products for many years due to very good optics..camers, filters, lenses, etc. Home office here and do not print color every day, so my review needs to consider this. I do print about 5 days a week, mostly text but use color several times a week. "All of a sudden" the color stopped printing anything except pink while I was designing new business cards. I did everything the manual said to do with zero results. I got pretty frustrated and was online looking at lasers when I commented. After that I decided to try to make this machine work again since now I planned on dumping it anyway. I had the top open and got a good look at the transparent tubing that carries the ink from tank to printhead. Lo and behold, I could clearly see several stubborn ink blockages in the tubes. This led me to massaging the tubes with my fingers until I could see each blockage dissapate. Then...I did a full flush, twice, (lots of ink usage) and tried printing. Holy cow! It was back in business! Ink tanks are down about a third from my efforts. Briana...I still like this quality but now that I understand how temperamental the ink flow can be I am still looking at color laser printers for my next buy but I have bought myself some time before I look around. So..I guess you need to read all the reviews you are intested in for a new printer, but be sure to read complaints as well. Sometimes the devil you know is better than the one you do not! @@brianatford6603 Read my comment above. I had a Canon i9900 for 12 years. Amazing quality and performance. Then had a baby pixma for 3 years that died just as my extended warranty was about to run out. I got all my money back. But this printer has a built in obsolesence that may cost you dearly, and this printer is not cheap.

Yes, once you connect it to your Wi-Fi, the other PC and Phones should see it that's on the same Wi-Fi. Worse case you may have to install the canon print app on your phone to run in back ground.

No, it prints 2 sided fron the printing option but not from the use of the auto document feeder nor the scanner unfortunately.

10G symmetrical is what they're trying to say. To simplify, DOCSIS 3.1 will become obsolete, and DOCSIS 4.0 will be the new standard for brownfield coaxial connections. It will still provide symmetrical speeds and fiber-like latency. They are currently upgrading the nodes to R-PHY nodes and will gradually introduce DOCSIS 4.0. Their new greenfield builds will use EPON fiber-to-the-home technology, eliminating the use of coaxial cables. For coaxial customers, as DOCSIS 4.0 is rolled out and R-PHY nodes are installed, "R-OLTs" will be implemented in each node to enable fiber-to-the-home connectivity for all brownfield territories. As a field technician who interacts with many technicians, this is how I am aware of these upgrades. The upgrades prioritize the outside plant first.

This is the LAST thing you want to do to yourself and your family. Particularly your children and elders. This has been proven to be the greatest health risk to human health that humanity has ever faced. There was a $28 million study done in 1992 for six years long proving this. 3G 4G and 5G have already done so much damage to human health. The last thing you want is 10 G wall-to-wall Wi-Fi in your house. Your immune system will start declining immediately, weakening you to multiple health risks like cancer, MS, Crohn’s disease, graves disease, lupus, etc. Heart attacks are very common soon after exposure to recently installed 5G poles and high Wi-Fi in the houses. Consider yourself warned. You install this in your house after reading this, shame on you. Blood guilt on you. Save your landlines or we’re all in unprecedented levels of trouble.

OK review but, the area that people who review this printer SKIP is the FAX portion. NO ONE describes how the FAX works. Whether if you use a phone line or and APP. . So if you used this for 6 months you should have touched on the fax.

10Gigs? Yea I think it’s 10th generation, But regardless. Comcast can’t even get reliable symmetrical up and download speeds, let alone a decent price. Long live FTTH, FiOS has been nothing more than stellar for the past 9 years. Would I ever try a true 10Gig copper Comcast? No, they would need FTTH for me to try it.

It’s not 10th generation. It’s 10G symmetrical. New builds are fiber and existing builds will have docsis 4.0

Port 4 is for security cameras from xfinity. Use port 1 for 2.5G speed.

The one thing that i use the most is the Scanner on my MX922. I did not hear you comment on the Canon G7020 scanning capabilities of how easy/difficult it is to use the scanning controls. Can you please comment on this?

Yes, it works just fine as a scanner. However I do miss that it doesn't have a two-sided scanning ability. It only scans one sided. Also it only scans to a USB storage drive or a connect PC be it by wire or wirelessly. I got use to my old Epson printer which could upload the scanned document directly to my online cloud storage like OneDrive or Google Drive where I have access remotely from the cloud if need that document again.

Hey G, thanks for a great video. One quick correction, this particular leptop allow you to charge it via USB-C. I tested it using the USB-C charger from the HP XPS and also I tried it charging using the HP port replicator USB-C.

After testing it, you can charge it with a USB-C cable but the adapter must be at least a 45 watt adapter.

Doesn’t the ink ever dry up in the tank?? If so what do you do? Also for the fax feature, do you have to have a phone line/phone number?

I know the bottles do not indicate an expiration date. I know the cartridge style ones start expiring once you open them but the bottle ones it did it could last all year. Which for me is a big difference from buying new cartridge every two months. As for the fax, I'm not sure. I believe you can eFax through the internet but you would have to set that up.

Ink dries up in the head, and the self-cleaning routine not only wastes a ton of ink, but also runs the ink counter, which eventually kills the printer (literally renders it unusable).

As an owner of two defective 15.4" envy x360 laptops, I cannot recommend this product. I purchased my first in December, used it for about 8 weeks, and out of nowhere, the screen flipped upside down as if it was in tablet mode. I attempted to reboot it, but the computer never came back on. No LED indicators, no signs of life. Long story: Since it was still under warranty, I called the support center and spent about two hours on the phone before they asked me to send it to their service center for a repair. Two weeks later, I received it back, tried to turn it on, and nothing happened. It was as if the service center did nothing but forward it straight back to me. I sent it back a second time (after another 2 hour call). A week passed, and the tracking information showed that it had never been received. I called them, waited on the phone for the default hour or so, and was assured that they'd received it but the tracking information hadn't been updated. Three weeks passed, and the tracking information never showed received. And I hadn't received any update from HP. Once again, I spent an hour waiting to get someone on the phone, and I finally reached someone who spoke clear English. I asked what happened. The representative said he had "no visibility or contact" with the service center it was shipped to. I asked how it was possible their own service center couldn't contact the other service center. He said he didn't know but that it's always been like that. I received my laptop back about 10 days later in the same condition I'd sent it in the first two times. I got back on the phone explaining how I wouldn't send it in again and that I'd like a replacement or refund. They said they couldn't rebuild it but would send me a similar laptop. They sent me a refurb with slightly better specs. I received it today. Guess what happened when I tried to turn it on. Blank screen (I can't make this up). This replacement/refurb has a different problem than my original. My original shows no signs of life, whereas the replacement unit shows LED power indicators and makes boot noises. Short story: Due to my experience with HP, this product, their service center and their escalation department, I will say that I have no confidence in this company, so buyer beware. HP makes most of its profits from big companies: defense contractors and so forth. So a single individual like myself is not on their radar. If your product works, great. If not, good luck beating the odds!

The most important "feature" is the ink counter. When that reaches its max, the printer turns into ewaste. I have tried the various online suggestions for resetting the counter, and none work.

Do you know if why the Upper right port on the back is covered?? I used to plug my Printer on the same spot on my XB7 Modem, but this new one confused me on why it has covered labeled as: enroll to turn port on??

I believe 10G stands for 10Ghz spectrum, not 10 gigabit speed as you mentioned 😂
