Do you still play on deck and did you download the high def assets?

I had been tempted to get back into WoW after having been clean for years now (since Legion), but knowing that I can play on my Steam Deck pretty much guarantees my relapse. So... curse you, and take my like and subscription.

you don't actually have to do the barrel jump at the SW flight master to get to the gates, if you go out either of the holes at just the right angle you can get to that same lip.

I used to just jump and circle around dalaran for like an hour after ICC just talking to my friends.

Kevin Jordan talked about designing WoW jumping on his streams. They spent a lot of time on it according to him.

Also I love that every races jump animation is different. Like you have a chance of doing a frontflip or something else. Or in retail the demon hunter double jump into glide. So many different kind of jumps, but all satisfying.

I used to play a WoW server called Dan's WoW and they had jumping puzzles that were great occasionally they would do races and winner would get gold or some donation points.

In PSO2 NG, everyone's practically Demon Hunters and platforming is mandatory to reach boss weak points, but then again a ARPG with MMO Mechanics. Although Warframe's platforming is completely broken, WoW's jumping is simple yet effective.

All you gotta do with someone that disagrees is place them on top of the Org classic bank and place them in a conversation about ANYTHING that they can run around and jump idly while listening. Or bring them to an ICC raid where they know all the fights but you gotta explain the mechs to half the raid anyways so they have to wait. They will understand why its the best jump ever

There was a while in wow where jumping out of the water while swimming would boost your speed to run speed while in mid air.

It just feels so satisfying playing something on something portable when you only knew it stationary

couldn’t agree more. very simple, very responsive, and very good feeling jump. cs jump will always be the best though imo, and I love wow jumps (you can look at my “parkour videos” as proof for that). can’t forsake my cs roots lol

I've been saying this for YEARS. It was actually my main decider on which MMOs I stuck with. WoW, GW2, and Wildstar had smooth, fluid jumps. Every other MMO had rigid jumps that look the same every time. I could never get into TES or FFXIV because of their jumps alone.

i truly think WoW jump has changed gaming in the right way. i wouldn't play any mmo's that didn't have a jump button.

My friends in vanilla used to make fun of me.. I was the slowest leveler out of all of us because I would literally just sit in Org and jump around 🤣

MMO that has a better jump than wow? Well, there was City of Heroes with an actual super jump power.

I came from GW1 as well and the jumping and freedom of wow blew my fucking mind.

I think GW2 has the best jumping puzzles.

World of Warcraft movement always felt CRISP, responsive. So many games try to do too much and make it feel clunky and like you're not part of your character

and you are correct! im a ffxiv fan that started playing wow classic a few months ago after I built my first pc and have been loving the game, got use to the movement, went back to ffxiv, it feels like dogshit lol, its crazy because ive been playing ffxiv longer
