I thought the centre of effort would be relevant to the shape of the luff, type of battens sail etc rather than the weight of the rig?

This helped me so much. I was struggling with the battons not going around the mast. I therefor assumed, that I needed more outhaul, which made it all unstable and difficult to ride. Thank you!

Thanks for the video. May you explain me how to tilt the sail? I change handposition, I duck the sail, but the mast does not tilt towards me as to seen in your video, so I am often in difficulties to pull the sail towards me. thanks for considering

You forgot railing the board over to crank it up wind
@GetWindsurfing

Thanks for the comment🤙. Hard to fit everything in a 60 second video, so specific upwind content is coming. 👍 Railing definitely helps to go upwind when non planing. When planing though you can get more upwind performance keeping the board flat...... I'll explain in the upcoming video. 👍

Congratulations for your video. I would like to understand why I can't close the sail and even if I do it slowly, the board goes towards the wind. when I start planing I can't close the sail and I have little stability on the board. Thanks a lot😊

I was having a really hard time with this move and the thing I was missing was stepping that back foot forward of the front footstraps just as you’re getting backwinded as you explain ~3:50. Little things can make a huge difference.

Yes . It is possible. Sometimes when the wind is light it might be easier then a normal tack

Epic float and ride, what was your gear setup? Im dreaming about conditions like this! Is that spot normally like that?
@GetWindsurfing
@GetWindsurfing 9 ай бұрын
I'm using a 82L @starboardwindsurfing Ultra and @severnewindsurfing S1 5.0m or 4.6m I can't remember the sail size in this session. The spot is Magheroarty in Donegal, Ireland. This is a reef break but there is also a good beach break. It works nice for float and ride but it can get very windy too. There are many spots in this area that work with different wind and swell direction

It's an aluminium extension arm on a insta360. The arm is like something linked below 👇 www.ebay.co.uk/itm/274504972842?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=1P4IYM03RSK&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=1zA5uV7iTBW&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
