To me this is ridiculous. If you have to shoot for one good and a half, then bring a tripod. Monos are good when you constantly have to move and change camera position/ heigh where a tripod will be more difficult/ slower to operate. But then again, a sachtler tripod can do just that for a price tag, ofc

The sirui with the S4 benro head is a gift from heaven. I think it’s more expensive but for that quality - it’s worth it. Just the sirui monopod carbon fibre was £180 I believe. Then the s4 or s6 benro head on top of that. 😬😬🤣🤣

You could walk away from the sirui.

I've used this for the last year and haven't had any of those issues you mentioned. Works great for macro, product spots, tutorials, and even outdoor. My only issue has been the wind and that is of course understandable. I would never attach a microphone to my camera and mount it on the slider simply because it is motorized and I would think that it is self-evident that a motorized item would create noise.

I would like to know how your experience has been with the time lapse function, for me, its basically broken.

@FauxKus6 жыл бұрын
I have one and it’s time lapse feature is completely broken, you can’t rely on it to get through a sequence at all. It usually makes it half way then goes to the end of the slide and then keeps taking pictures while making a whining noise as the motor struggles as it forces itself at the end of it. So the time. Lapse, motion warp, and time warp features are useless, so bummed about it.

Why don't you use external mic to record your voice? Thumb up anyway)
@robinsoncreative32596 жыл бұрын
Believe it or not we did. I know, it sounds like crap. This was shot using a Rode Video Mic atop a Canon 6D mkii in a highly reflective room (sound wise). After posting this video we changed our audio setup for the purposes of our KZfaq reviews and I think you'll notice there is a BIG difference from this (a down and dirty review) to what things sound like now. Thanks for watching and for the thumbs up!!!
@proartwork71896 жыл бұрын
You can also use it manually by using the allen key provided and loosening the screw next to the A side. You just want to make sure you tighten it when you are going to store it away.
@robinsoncreative32596 жыл бұрын
This is true, though Edelkrone does not recommend using this "feature" too often.
@dimanKu6 жыл бұрын
great follow up, one more question to nail my purchase. Since we can't push the slider, is there any way as quick control just for preview and composition adjustment?
@robinsoncreative32596 жыл бұрын
Since the slider is pretty short, you can easily compare and contrast speeds by just letting it run from A to B at one setting, then dialing in a new setting and hitting go again and seeing which of the two you prefer.

Hello Aashil, thank you for your inquiry! When used with SliderONE PRO, Motion BOX enables camera panning while sliding. You may check them out at edel.kr/BCw. Our best! Asude

Sweet, thanks for the review man! I have a question: One of their videos shows the footage rotating while sliding. Is that possible with this?
@robinsoncreative32596 жыл бұрын
It is not possible for your camera to rotate while sliding with JUST the SliderONE PRO. However, Edelkrone is about to release the Motion Box, a sub $300 add-on, that WILL allow you to add this extra motion to your slide. We're excited about it and cannot wait to get our hands on it.

Have you done all the firmware updates? If so, how far away from the slider are you? You may need to step closer. We use iPhone 8 Plus phones with our slider, we cannot verify performance of older phones. Contact Edelkrone and see if they can't help you (their tech support is TOP NOTCH).

I've been working as an event photographer and videographer for 4 years now - it's very tiring but I love it - I travel a lot so get to see places I wouldn't see if only briefly. You definitely learn by doing - it's second nature to me now. My dream is to be able to use my phone that would be so cool.

Hello Robinson Creative! Thank you for your interest in edelkrone and for the review! We just wanted to remind you that SliderONE PRO has an emergency manual slide mode (please see the link below), in that mode you can actually manually operate the SliderONE PRO. I need to indicate that, we do not recommend to use SliderONE PRO manually all the time. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hK-ibJN3t5nUqIE.html Hope this helps! Thank you for choosing edelkrone. Warmest regards, Asude

Excellent - I like the slides at the end of the video. Do you think the flex tilt head is essential.
@robinsoncreative32596 жыл бұрын
If you already have a ball head or lightweight video head then it is absolutely NOT necessary, however I really do like it and find myself using it more on shoots than even some of my Benro video heads. But if you just want to get started with the SliderONE Pro then the Flex Tilt Head is very much an optional accessory.

We are in the process of putting some of that together right now since there has been such interest in the SliderONE Pro by viewers like yourself. We take the slider on every job we do and since the last two firmware updates have seen or had ZERO issues. A follow up review is in the works.
@markshirley016 жыл бұрын
Robinson Creative great thanks - good to hear they fixed it - I need compact gear because I travel on planes a lot with my job so prefer to take anything essential onboard with me - a large slider just wouldn't do.

Great video! Right now I'm "almost" happy with my SliderOne Pro. The "metallic noise" problem on descending shots (B to A) is a bit annoying, but you could avoid it...by only doing descending shots from A to B (kind of solution). Don't know if you ever made slides between 6-20° (tilt angle) from B to A. Specially with some payload on the slider the slider is a bit shaking & "stuttering". Seems to be known problem...hopefully they could fix it with some firmware updates (!). Right now the only solution by Edelkrone is "I would recommend you to use the SliderONE PRO on different incline angles". Maybe I'm stupid...but I still like the SliderOne Pro ;-)
@robinsoncreative32596 жыл бұрын
We have noticed some less than perfectly smooth motion when the SliderONE Pro is used at an incline, though if we lighten the load of our camera on the slider than things tend to work out, but a fully loaded C100 at an incline is too much for the mighty slider to contend with. Thanks for watching and for sharing your thoughts!!!
@stratios16 жыл бұрын
Hi! Congratulations and thanks for the video you share!!! I would like to ask you something about this slider. Is SliderOne Pro capable to make a timelapse with slow shutter speeds, such as 30sec or 1min? In order to do that it has to make a sequential operation of [slide - stop - shoot]. Is this capable to make this operation? Thanks!!
@robinsoncreative32596 жыл бұрын
We have yet to use the slider in a time lapse capacity, but when we do, we'll be sure to post an update.
