How long can you film the 900 frames a second does it do it continuous or is it only for like 8 Seconds of filming

I got one of the original Minis in '05 and it still works fine; I use it to scan negatives on my old Epson flatbed. After that, I've had a series of iMacs. One was trouble-free, the other two not so much. I'm done with iMacs. So my next Mac will be a Mini. The question is: M2 or M4. TS Tech Gear guy, I'd enjoy hearing what you think of the possibility that the new M4 will come with 12 gig of memory. Would that preclude needing 16?

Good review Tom. I have the first M1 Mac mini, purchased shortly after its release in November 2020 (16GB/1TB version). It has performed brilliantly over the past 3 - 4 years. As well as being a general purpose machine, I use it to edit video in Final Cut Pro and it never misses a beat, while running so silently. I use a top quality 22 inch IPS 1920 x 1080 HP monitor connected via HDMI but am keen to upgrade to a slightly larger 4K monitor at some stage. And it's the Magic Keyboard and Magic Mouse 2 for me! 😎

The display on the iMac sets it apart.. hard to find anything close to that spec in 3rd party displays. Still hate the colors and own 2 mini's. MacMini is a game changer.

I'm using an m1 MBA. Love it. However, my old 2010 MBA 11 inch is workable as well. I can still do all my work on an old machine. I just got an iMac 2013 and it works fine as well. Hope to complete my collection with an old 2nd hand Mac mini :)

It's been noted on macrumors that Apple might plan to release a smaller Mac Mini M4 this October or November event. September is known as the iPhone event basically and the anouncement of next available Mac OS, iOS, iPhoneOS, and all that. But pretty much new iPhone is all. October or November it's said by Bloombergs Mark Gurman that the Mac Mini M4 will for the first time in over 10 years finally get a cut in it. It's said to be cut to be as small as the Apple TV box. The corners are said to be cut and shortened by an inch or two.

how does this i9 stand against a normal macbook air, sure the m1 pro is amazing getting deals on the i9 one which ar every similar to the m1 macbook air but this is a pro and air m1 is air, which one would be better, video editing mostly 8 bit iphone foootage or 8 bit camera footage, thanks

Can someone please help me? I ve been looking at this basic model to upgrade my set up but i am afraid to go for it in 2024 being already 3 years old computer. I do all the tasks i need to do minus 4k video editing on my current machine which is an ancient 2010 mac pro 5.1 x2 xeon modified with 3gb gpu and 32gb ram. I think to myself if i can do most of the things i need on that old computer i ll be able to at least do the same on this right? Should i go for it or sell my mac 5.1 save my money and get a mac studio? Thanks!

I’m thinking of getting the Mac Mini. I started saving my coins for it. By the time I get it the new model should be out so I can spend more on the previous model.

I wish they didn’t gimp the iPadOS so much or even let us put macOS on iPad instead. I use an iPad in an addition to a Windows laptop, and in my use case a Windows laptop is an ABSOLUTE necessity. There’s no way Apple can do their “let’s make him buy a Mac AND an iPad” strategy on me. So it is just annoying for no reason.

After I got my MacBook I sold my iPad. I don’t see no need for it.
