This is Ryan from Olight. Osight will come with new 6-32 carbon steel screws with 2 different length (10mm, 12mm) from August 2024. Those old crappy screws will no longer be in the Osight package. Thank u so much for the update review.

What about a hydraulic buffer? I ran one in a standard AR9 and it helped significantly
@hollowpointdefense10 сағат бұрын
In my 9mm's, I won't get into the buffer changing as the 9mm has virtually no recoil anyways. I just don't see the advantage versus cost for me. These are just fun time guns, nothing more.

Try to get both but over time! I still prefer the Response over the FPC, but it is just a slight amount.

I bought the Response in January '24 and got the recall notice in Feb '24. I was pretty annoyed but the turn around on the fix was 2 weeks, which I consider pretty good. I added an entry level Vortex red dot to it and the thing is incredibly accurate. It's a blast to use at the range. It doesn't hurt that I can use my Glock 19 mags with it as well. I bought the S&W metal magazines because I like them better than what the Glock offers but having that Glock magazine module to just drop on the Response is pretty nice. As a relative noobie to guns I think the Response is a great first rifle to buy and I get to keep using all the 9mm I buy for the Glock. Best of both worlds.

So I have a muzzle break on my FPC and tested the sound level (to the side as if a person was next to me at the range) and got some interesting results. Using a DB meter on my phone, the sound level of my Springfield 9 mm hand gun was 2 dbs higher than my FPC with a break. In other words, an FPC with a 16” barrel is pretty quiet on its own and a break really doesn’t “bother” other shooters to the side. This was confirmed by a curious shooter next to me that wanted to know what I was shooting because it was so quiet to him.

Sorry about the late reply, I was out of town. Just pushing straight back on the hammer will not reset it. It has to go back and downward so it will reset/latch. Kind of like an arching motion.

Honest question - What is the purpose of this other than asthetics? Just wondering since i've seen a few torture reviews and the reinforced nylon material in the handguard does extremely well. You are adding extra parts - steel and aluminum parts - that cant be lighter than stock config right? I mean, it's meant to be an on-the-go portable and concealable rifle. You'd want it to be as light as possible i would imagine. Great video and instructions of course. Just wondering is all.
@hollowpointdefense17 күн бұрын
@@ricko6514 I prefer the metal guard over plastic. The plastic guard has stuff coming loose as the plastic would crush and attachments loosen up. This gun nothing but a fun time gun, not a home defense weapon or anything. Personally if I wanted a portable rifle this would not be it, it would be in 5.56 or even 308.
@ricko651417 күн бұрын
@@hollowpointdefense Ok i see your point. I have had mine for a year now, close to 1500 rounds and red dot and light from day one. I haven't had any issues with the attachments so far, and yeah for portable I would easily use my BCM 11.5 AR15, but still too long to fit in a backpack which is why i brought up concealability. Even with the best of your intentions you cant just walk around with an AR15 unfortunately, but the FPC in a backpack, or even the spotting scope bag from an old scope molle strapped to the side backpack. Like you said, in your case this is just a fun time gun so it makes sense. Have fun!

I was at my LGS looking for one to purchase end of March. I couldn’t find em online He couldn’t find one at any distributors. We were both scratching our heads. Online you’d think that when I did the search the first time that the recall would have popped up. I did another search a week later and there it was. I read the reason for the recall and I was shocked how serious it was. Then I decided naaaaaaah. I’ll spend a bit more money and get the Springfield Armory St Victor 9mm carbine. Springfield QC is obviously better since they haven’t had a recall since God knows when. Smart move too since it looks like my St Victor AR.
