I could still remember ther time I first played this game. I should be around 2008-2010. I used Mambo because the other people say that his search laser is so OP. I used to play as Koitsu.

Type-C on 2P side is the worst! Altough Type-C 2P side has good firing power, it is massively overpowered, which I consider it cheating. (WHY TAITO, WHY?!) I rather suffer with Type-C on 1P side than with Type-C 2P side.

Nope, but it seems the trigger to try and make him turn into a female, which tanuki's are famous to fail at as they can't fully turn into one as their tails are a dead giveaway. They can turn convincingly into a guy though.

The rate of rank increase doubles for each of the second and third speedups, as well as having a shield. So to control rank, stay at one speedup and no shield for as long as you can.

I made this! Can't believe people are still speedrunning it over a decade later. It was designed with running in mind though, and while UVMax was always my personal preferred category I did put some UVSpeed shortcuts in there, such as being able to grab keys or press switches from the other side of fences, or from a different vertical height. Enjoyed the run, really brought back some memories for me.
