mass effect is kind of weird with some of its character approaches. they get a famours person to use their voice and likeness, but then combine that with the character being sexualized for eye catching purposes. its bad enough to do that to a fictional character, regardless of the fact that its an old and expected tactic, but doing it to someone who actually walks around outside of the game and might have some thoughts of her own about being represented that way is a whole different level of bad.

After starting the Legendary Edition, I wanted to explore other options (Tali, Jack, maybe Liara). But damn, the romance between the Great Commander Shepard and the Perfect Miranda Lawson seems the most genuine imo. For starters, there's the whole the Patient falls for the Doctor who saved him complex. Then there's the cold facade of Miranda slowly fading away as she falls for Shepard even further, to the point where it's almost nonexistent in front of him. In 1:25, she revealed her insecurity by asking Shepard whether she's still part of his plans, and later on any second thoughts. But the smile from Shepard at 1:48 followed by the confident "None" reassured that her opening up was not a mistake, and reached out to kiss him in elation. (the bgm in this video definitely brought a huge emotional kick. THIS was peak Mass Effect romance for my Shepard. If only she had a more active role in ME3. Also I know it's been years, but I just had to revisit this video once I went back to Miranda in Legendary.

I watching The Tomorrow War and I was like this chick looks just like Miranda from Mass effect, like unbelievably close. And I look it up, and she voices her lol. Mass effect did an amazing job modeling her into the game
