@@LorcanaLizard Thanks! Will look forward to your reply. And congratz on the third place finish. My wife called me and said I need to come home when I stood 2-2. With a win in the last Swiss round game I could have joined the top 8 cut and who knows what would have happened then...shit.

emerald/steel, amber/steel, and emerald/amethyst are tough but still winnable. Those decks all have ways to get rid of crucial cards from your hand as well as control the board in the early/mid game. However, having the extra locations and John Silver to fall back on is pretty nice in those situations.

@@LorcanaLizard okay I played with this deck a lot last night and tweaked it a bunch to my playstyle and I did find the harder ones to be emerald/steel and amber/steel because of early removal. I lost twice to emerald/steel and a red/green deck that focused around other locations and jim Hawkins. But other than that, I pretty much swept all rounds, which was really interesting to see! Incredibly fun deck to play!

This is exactly why I love this game! Winning with the best meta deck is fun and all BUT being able to build decks centered around favorite characters and fun themes is very rewarding, exciting, and down right fun. I have never been more excited for future sets to be able expand on all my hopes and dreams of crazy deck builds haha

I agree! Aber/steel can be tough too if they are able to discard your key songs with necessities.

@@FlameWingPhoenix so sorry for my lack of content lately, I just started a new job and my schedule is absurd at the moment. I did test out the Tink and I do think its a good fit! The deck was wanting that extra bit of removal. I only ran 3 copies though.

Very cool! Id love to try out the list you're working with. Leaning more into control sounds more reliable too being that my biggest issue with the deck im running is actually lasting until mid to late game to even start my titan combos.

I appreciate the input! I originally ran 4 quills but felt like 3 got the job done. Top decking a quill feels terrible lol.

Great observation! It took me a while to learn the best way to pilot the deck. I consider it to be the best because of its performance in many of the recent tournaments. I believe this deck is extremely powerful in the hands of a highly skilled player. I must also admit that I do not claim to be a "highly skilled" player just yet. I have quite a bit of experience at this point though.

Simple. The Dime, Belle, and cindie are not optimal.

Hook & smee package is very good to slow down hyper aggressive decks. Then, after 5th ink you have grab your sword, Tinkerbell and Zeus to remove threads (almost freely).

@abaddonsfx800 Yes, but with "bear necessities," I take away actions and locations. It's a two cost. If I play sapphire, I take away fishbone quill before turning 3. Yes, people can play hook or smee, but no lore is being gained because of needing to attack. If steel is attacking, there is no draw going on. Many people play the other way, too, with Sapphire and play pawsiicle and items at the beginning, attempting to ramp and draw cards. If that happens, game over.

​@lerak8452 sapphire/Steel eats aggro if played right. Smee + Hook turns 1&2, Big tink on 4 if ramped with quill, otherwise usually hook and see is enough. Never run into an issue with aggro unless you just brick early but that's unlikely if you mull right. I say this as someone that has a dedicated test group and have tested that match-up extensively.

@vdg6184 I played Sapphire/steel since Lorcana came out. I have the lucky dime deck. It's a secondary one because I've made a deck to play against all meta sets for tournaments. I understand Sapphire/steel is usually played with 1 drop capt or the pawsicle direction for draw and for the ramp. It's either one, and rarely do you have all cards in hand. Amber/Amethyst bounce is too quick, and by the time you can play grab your swords, you don't have any lore or cards. You were too busy trying to attack. I can play lilo, malifcent 2 lore one drops. Use simba and boboo for bodyguard, which give me 2 lore when. I went 3-1 last week. Barely lost my 1 againt someone who finished 4th in a 1k tournament with Amethyst/Ruby meta deck. Amber Steel destroys my deck. That's because it can sing crab your swords. That's why I designed an all-around deck. Got some compliments, but it's more on hush-hush for now. The tournament I had that I went 3-1 in. My friend was playing amber steel, but I didn't play him. After the tournament, I asked to play. I got destroyed. Good thing I didn't play him. I know, though, a lot of people play Amethyst/Ruby. I'm called it the Lerak deck, or wreck deck.

Thanks for the comment! So, I have played a little over 100 games with this deck and I have made slight changes here and there along the way. I originally had 3 copies of Mickey Mouse then went down to 2. I recently added 1 Tamatoa which acts as another good target for a late game Lucky Dime combo. Some people like running one jump ahead but I prefer to keep the uninkable count a little lower. I do think the 4 drop Tala is a decent card to run as well. Ultimately, the deck will change slightly to fit the current needs of the meta. For instance, if item decks become any more poplar then i would consider adding a couple benjas to the list along side rise of the titans. This is a deck that I believe running 60-65 cards would be okay.

@@LorcanaLizard Thanks for the response! That’s good to hear. I was also considering adding a Tamatoa as well. I try to cap my deck at 64 so I’ll see what I can move around. I also think with the Lucky Dimes & Spellbooks that Benja or extra copies of Rise of the Titans might be a good idea
