They would really need to pick up the pace. There's definitely glimmers of something cool in the concept, but I wouldn't say there's a lot of excitement from me as far as a sequel is concerned.

I didn't touch on the rewatch value, but you definitely have a point there. I was interested, but ultimately somewhat disappointed. Just a lot of head scratching for me. It's probably just not my type of flick.

I did not see this movie and AMC would give me 3k point to see it. However, I like to hear your thoughts on the movie whether its worth it to see it at theaters or wait until streaming services.

Yeah, I've seen it a few times now. I will say I definitely enjoyed it, but I enjoyed it because it was literally just fan service full of cameos from all the movies I grew up with, and that's totally cool. But in the end, I know I only enjoyed it because of all that and seeing Hugh Jackman back.

All Im gonna say is this. Top 5 movie of the year. This is the reason why people goes to movie to see movies like this. Classic performance from everyone around. Tons of easter eggs and straight up bloody, gore and rated r material. Definitely did not hold anything back.

I will say it's probably the best Marvel movie in recent years by a long shot. Loved the cameos, loved seeing Hugh Jackman back as Wolverine, and of course all the jokes. I want to see what the rest of the year holds before putting up there in the top 5 of the year, though. I will say it's in the top 5 theater experiences of the year for sure, though!

I thought this movie was pretty solid. A fan of Nicolas Freaking Cage and Blair Underwood. The atmosphere and the setting was creepy and the plot was pretty twisted. But that what you get for living in a town where everyone knows everyone. The lady who play Harker play robotic for me and wasn't feeling her until the movie was almost over. Jeff Goldblum did his thing in this movie? I think no one else could play the fly besides him. That was one of his movies that propel him as a pretty good actor.

I agree! He did excellent in this one. I really can't see the others portraying Seth, but maybe that's just because Goldblum's take on the character has become so iconic.

You're missing out on a cinematic masterpiece, haha. I definitely say check it out for some fun at some point, cinema has stepped away from just fun comedy, or comedy in general. This is like a little treat from a more creative time in cinema, at least more creative than it seems to be now. At least in my eyes.

Yeah I'd say Jack Black has a pretty mixed bag, I remember seeing one called Bernie that was definitely a different experience than what I'm used to from him, but Nacho Libre has always been a great little treat to me. Strangers was rough too. Ultimately, it comes down to taste. I thought the idea of this film was creative,I gave it pros when it comes to the kills, but just a tad too slow to be a slasher for me. The ending did not feel earned, but I definitely liked that it built tension and left you feeling Johnny's presence. Thanks for your thoughts.

I am still wondering where marcus' sons went after the first movie (the small kids watching the news and sees them on the bridge). They were not mentioned ever in the next movies. My pros would be reggie. He CAN fight! He deserves more projects. I also love the firefights in the crocodile farm. I wish that they made dorn more badass like what he did in for life. For the cons, it is weird not seeing theresa randle as marcus' wife. They should have killed or divorced or made her go to witness protection. I also think Mike's wife is a bit mediocre. All of his past lovers are tough like bruja, syd and rita so it just felt like a plot device. Last one , Rhea Seehorn is like a lamborghini that is driven at 10mph on this movie.

I agree with a lot of what you said. A lot of it is just how the series has evolved over the years. Sort of how they mention Marcus's sister as a gag now to keep that part of their history as part of the franchise. Reggie had his moment to shine, and I thought it was just enough of a payoff for him being a running joke. I think ultimately it's about a franchise that has to evolve. As to Mike's new wife, definitely a plot device more than anything, it feeds into Mike not being there to protect her, making him vulnerable for once. At least that's how I saw it. While I agree it hasn't evolved perfectly, I still think Bad Boys is a pretty strong franchise overall. Thanks for your thoughts! Hope to read more in the future!

I thoroughly enjoyed it. Plan to see it a second time at the cinema. In hindsight people realise Beyond Thunderdome is actually pretty good and they'll say the same about this.

You bring up a good point. I have said it was good the more that I've sat with this movie, but I also have not thought to re-watch it. That may speak to having just seen it recently, or just time, but I think rewatchability is a huge factor when scoring these movies, so knowing some want to rewatch is a good sign for the film.
