Thanks! I recommend anyone concerned about the pre paints to paint their own, it's hard to start but you get full control of the outcome!

You can add a lot of texture by doing some very light dry brushing on the wings with a brighter or darker shade. Usually I start with darker colors and work my way up with drybrush layers to give all the little crevices more depth. Makes wings and armor pop.

I haven’t gotten into too much of the customs yet but they seem cool! Only have heroclix figures converted for c3g because my daughter loves ghost spider and other marvel super heros

Fab, thx! The urban noir theme of NGC could mix quite well with Malifaux (great figures, cards and mechanics, but I can't be bothered playing with a ruler and LoS rules. Reva/Revna though, hmm)!? Well, I now how to contour, highlight, blend and even at times do SFX make up on my face so I hope those skills transfer;o) And with the upcoming AoA... price module and those muddy gold-yellow... Could taking photos with diff lightin (angles) help with shading? Thx, looking forward for more, will watch the tigercore next;o) Maybe also one about base design? Cheers

Glad you like it! I think those skills you mentions will help a lot, I imagine, as there's a lot of transferable knowledge, like blending and shading. . A tutorial on how to add flocking and basing is on my to do list, for sure!

Just recently got 3d printed figures and rocks for the dnd master set just need dungeon terrain then I can play those maps with my daughter or I might just pretend swamp terrain is dungeon tile

Right now it seems to just be the faithful community that was into the old game.. if this game can be set up in game stores it would attract more people for sure. The terrain alone always has people come o r when I’m at my game store playing

I'm hoping so! I think the environment has shifted a lot since 2010, but I'm hoping a rules light wargame is what people are looking for. I think heroscapes biggest struggle is going to be the cost to produce, and bring in new players like you mentioned. Heroscape does sell once its actually displayed, so I'm hoping the community grows.

Is wave 1 even out in stores? I haven't seen it and my FLGS said they haven't gotten any solicitations for it. I'd get back into it if anyone near me was playing but it doesn't seem like anybody even knows it's back.

I’m surprised they didn’t just do an entire reboot considering this franchise has been dead for so long and it doesn’t appear that they’ll be rereleasing the older sets. And compared to the original master sets this feels underwhelming to me like the minis featured in this don’t grab me like the old ones did.

I’m going to be very curious to see what you do with Viscerot and Cornelius. As least in the photographs, the orange and yellow respectively come off pretty loud, so your take on the coloration will great to see!

I have some plans. Monument has a weathering medium that I believe will add nice grunge and texture to the vicerott model, and I'll definitely be dulling Cornelius down a bit to make it a bit less vibrant

WANT Simply gorgeous. I can’t pick a favorite. They’re all killer. I don’t know if you take “request” ideas for videos, but one paint I’ve wanted to do (though don’t have the skills/set up for yet) is with the Knights. They pair well with one of my favorite VC heroes, Z’Thoth. My thinking was give them a creepy, Lovecraftian paint job (blacks/blues/purples etc) with Z’Thoth’s face on their shields. My friend and I imagined they’d be called “Knights of the Abyss.” …A man can dream! Go Crab Boys!
