Everybody in ATL is NOT from the ATL..That is the scary part. Like how you see constant carjackings at the gas station. Great video; however I am not interested in ATL. The first and last time visiting was in 1994. I am good. Not missing a thing. I have seen videos from people who have been there since the late 80s and they don't have the same sentiments as you. Best regards and Best of luck to you.

So I'm typing while I'm watching, Being from NYC I can honestly say, moving to the A was financially the best move, because it's a city with metro areas that are growing. It took me 3 years to lower down my NYC guard and hard shell. It's still there and probably never leaving, but I'm more chilled now lol. Food is sub-par, you have to hunt down really good eat spots and they are mostly in the hood lol. But that's where the pretty women are too so... I mean feed your belly and your eyes. I hate any temp over 70 so I can't comment on the weather, but it rains like a jungle for like 15 mins out of control. Pollen isn't so bad, it beats picking up 30 lbs of wet snow. Traffic is great for me lol, they do drive like they are trying to impregnate your car. I leave where the roads are dope, so can't comment. But I believe him. Jobs are plentiful pay is 50-50% but the cost of living is so cheap, so it really depends on where you are trying to live vs what you are trying to do. Like I said, coming from NYC it's dirt cheap if you are leaving a major city and coming here. Home in NYC sold for 1.3 million, the home here was 385K at the time. Now it's 550 to 580. 2016 was the time to buy. Property tax is very low in comparison, home in NYC was 2,100 sq. one car garage attached on a 40 by 60 lot. 8,600 when I left. Now I pay $6,257.21 but for a 3,400 sq.ft. two car garage 60 by 120-ish lot. Now Crime from what I've seen in other spots he is right, but a gun fixes that. One thing is for sure, this is not the spot to be if you are living the struggle life, health coverage is minimal, services are crap or non existent. So think about that before moving here, otherwise you need to bring a strong fam or people who you trust moneywise so you can avoid that type of life style, because it's not worth it.

I never thought in my life that I’d see a KZfaq video recommending a move to Douglasville 😆! I grew up out here (age 6 - 18) so it’ll always hold a special place in my heart. The demographics certainly changed when additional homes were built in the years post-Hurricane Katrina, accommodating a lot of those displaced residents. “White flight” was a real phenomenon here, especially when you compare the 2000 & 2010 censuses. I very much doubt you’d see anything like a Costcos or Whole Foods added anytime soon, especially when a Dollar General was recently built in front of Chapel Hill Middle School.

Despite the fact that each of which, the 2nd Ku Klux Klan Era (from 1915-1944) and the 3rd Ku Klux Klan Era, (from 1946-present) began in Atlanta, you'll never hear that about Atlanta from black Atlantans because they've been as image conscious as white Atlantans on racial matters.

I live in Oldtown Scottsdale , Arizona and I love it. The area is so walkable. My sister lives in Sandy Springs, Georgia. I have been to Atlanta many times and I have no desire to live there. It simply doesn’t appeal to me. I am from Michigan and it does rain when the sun is out.

I have lived on the outskirts of the ATL now for 30 years and yes it has changed in every way especially when this city growth potential has skyrocketed and several companies have made this their base/headquarters! Also word of mouth travels fast that the south is poppn but don’t get it twisted these country boys will put yo ass in a vise quickly if you come here on some dumb shit! Like everything else you are gonna have your locals and outsiders trying to be slick and pick on the vulnerable and weak like any other major cities where there is money flowing! Bottom line is to have a plan and stick to it and keep your head on a swivel no matter where go! PS we full go try Texas or some other state because we full as fukk!😂😂😂

As someone who has lived here for most of his life, I must say that most of this information is either false or outdated. Atlanta isn't as affordable as it used to be. Marta is laughable when it comes to public transportation. Traffic isn't caused by narrow streets, but because we're at capacity and have been for the past few years. Do not move here unless you're ready to wait a couple of months for a job. Property taxes have been rising by several hundred dollars yearly. This isn't to scare anyone, but it is the reality. Coming from an Atlanta area native.

I'm 20 minutes from Atlanta and I'll never be able to enjoy the few good things about the city.. All because of the roads and traffic. You described the frustrating roads perfectly. Even though parking decks are not eye candy in the slightest, Atlanta needs a lot more of them. Side street parking makes everything 10 times worse.

I have visited here before I moved here on several occasions and I must say that living here is different. That southern hospitality means something different now. I've met some of the meanest people since I moved here. A lot of people here seems to be angry and the news don't make it any better with all the craziness I see on it on a daily. Scammers blowing up my phone in the middle of the night is annoying. If yu live in areas where there are lots of trees, it's nice in the summer but not so nice in the spring time because of all the pollens. What I like about Atlanta is the culture, the Mercedes Benz stadium, parks, the mix of different cuisines and the wide selection of plazas, malls and shopping centers to choose from.

Move to Atlanta from New York late 80s started to grow then had fun time maturing in Bklyn but had best time of my life in Atlanta. City was magical in the 90s and 2000s and drink the water. Traffic is rough one reason the airport is a hub to the Southeast USA which is one reason for that. The City has a lot to offer. All four seasons of weather is good except for those who may suffer from spring pollen. City has lot to offer...

Born and raised in Georgia, and they only seem to want to build restaurants. They only want us to eat and shop. There’s no attraction places and Northern Georgia and driving to Six Flags are going to White Waters is a complete nightmare if you live in the outskirts of Georgia they’re only building restaurants. There’s really nothing to do in Georgia.
