I’ve just played against this opening for the first time and came to learn more about it. I’ve used the Philidor defence and it worked pretty well as ultimately I was controlling the center. Still, the opening is indeed somewhat confusing for black so might use it myself

I didnt expect it to work but it actually worked like a charm....the moves were not like these but i sacrificed my bishop and got him a royal fork......it was hilarious. my opponent was dumbstruck and wasted 2 mins and then resigned😂😂. im new to chess and this taught me the art of sacrificing pieces😝 also the people in the comment section are getting outa hand😂😂😳

This is just another refuted opening. Once in a 60 +0 over the board game, I destroyed an unsuspecting opponent who played the Traxler. It’s simple to refute with White; I still had 58 minutes when he got mated(he was down to 15 minutes). He was genuinely annoyed to find an opponent actually studying the opening he prepared lol

Why can't it use regulation Staunton pieces? Every decent smart chess set either has super small pieces or butt ugly ones like this here. I have large mongoloid hands, I'm not fumbling with tiny pieces and if the pieces don't look like what they're supposed to be, I can't concentrate. Chess is hard enough, don't get cute with the piece design. It's not cute and unique, it's irritating!
