So being a city guy, I have to ask. Do you guys travel into the woods unarmed with all that wildlife roaming free? When I was a kid I played hockey up in Canada every summer. The family I stayed with owned a huge piece of property, I'm talking massive. We'd hike into the woods but always and only with a guide who worked for the family. They were always armed with a large caliber sidearm as well as a rifle large enough to stop any threat. We saw bears, moose, and other stuff. We always respected their space by keeping a very good distance and using binoculars to see them better. That's some gorgeous property you guys drove. Those roads in places were just barely wide enough for those SXS's. Very cool and your dog is awesome.
@normsatv2 ай бұрын
So here in Canada we not allowed carry any side arms crazy as sounds . As long have a firearms License we allowed to carry rifle or shot gun i do have a License dont carry anything . So used to living with grizz or black bear , wolf , cougar , wolvrine ect we just used to see them . Grizz we pay lil more attention than black and stay as far away poss . I do know some who carry shot gun or bear bangers . Guess with many many years hunting Experience and seeing wildlife all the time in the last sixty years, it just doesn't bother me . As rule 99 % time black bears turn run only time be prob is get caught between mom & baby could be testy . Appreciate all the comment and view stopping by. Hope you come and watch a few more videos . Thanks bailey is my bud only 11 months old but enjoying her .

A bit of bush whacking at the start! Lol Is there much old growth forest trails or is it mostly all logged? As for the dog. What about building a dedicated seat with a box that has tall sides and foam for cushioning? I never had a side by side I had trikes and quads so my dog ran the whole way but near the end of her 15 1/2 year life the last 3 years she had to ride on the machine due to a bad back leg. I was going to build a box like that but bought a Jeep instead so she could lay down in the back. They don’t like it when they have nothing to grab onto or brace against.
@normsatv2 ай бұрын
Close to town say 35 min any direction is mostly log and for most part replanted. Hr or so east lots old growth and some trails but fair bit is carriboo habitat not allowed . Lot good places go we just not go .

Another good video Norm,I just subscribed. Here in the U.S.,my home state of Maine closes the trails to ATVS/UTVS from December to mid-May. This year we had very little snow,so now the Snowmobile Association is asking the government to bail them out for lost revenue! If they allowed use by ATVS/UTVS when the ground was frozen, they would have brought in revenue for the clubs and local businesses. Typical government bureaucracy, can't think outside the box!

Hi great to see you again Appreciate the comments and return visits . We have one club trail here about 56 klms loop i was the atv club founder & president for first 3 years . So know all about gov and hoops with club trails after 3 years and really Establish club and trails by getting 4 new trails approved new parking lot multipul outhouse sites ect insurance disccount Decided time for somebody else to take a crack at running it . So now i ride none club trails so can use crown / public land when ever choose anytime year . We def real blessed have massive open public land in British Columbia . Cheers 😎👍
