Hello. I know this was made 3 years ago and im not even sure if you will read this. I cant find that motor mount from Bassyake and on the page for that garage opener, its says "not recommended for trolling motors." Is there a modle number for the mounting bracket and have you had any problems with that power converter?

I see how you pull the cord to tilt the motor but how do you push the release lever that lets you tilt it?

Great setup, I have to look into the remote control unit. Thanks for sharing.

Look up PWM on eBay or Amazon and there are all kinds of models. Depending on your voltage needs or amp requirements you should be able to find something. Good luck and appreciate the kind words, frankenyak is still going strong 💪🏼

If the motor is drawing 100% at any speed setting, why does the battery last longer at lower speed settings than a higher speed settings?

Thanks for doing this Bud! I had no idea that the stock motor always draws 100% power, regardless of which setting. One would think otherwise, ie: that each of the 5 (forward) stages would draw 20, 40, 60, 80 and 100% respectively. I'm thinking of doing all this, so thanks once again! Much appreciated!
@CompassAngler2 жыл бұрын
The things they don’t tell you…crazy how inefficient the stock setup is. Going on three years now, besides a battery upgrade smooth motoring. Glad to point you in the right direction 👍🏼

have you had any overheating issues with this particular pwm? seen a lot and had my own issues with heat meaning i would need to add fans to a box. cause if this isnt an issue with this one im in! amazing video by the way got the 13.5

In line fuse will trip if I run at full power for too long, assume under load the power draw is more that 30 amps. If I run 80-85% then I can run for an hour plus continuously. Not a perfect system, but for the smaller lakes I fish it’s works well.

Thanks for watching and appt the kind words. Love casting reels, feel like I can control my lures more and place my casts with precision. There is a learning curve, but not impossible to pick up. Still pick up a spinning reel for certain situations 💯
