Interestingly, just yesterday I got together with Scott Wilson of @The Pressing Matters in my studio and we listened to his two copies of Jazz Samba (AP 33 1/3rpm & Speakers Corner) against my DCC copy as well as Verve original I discovered last minute in my warehouse. The DCC sounded quite good, perhaps my favorite of the reissues we had at hand but to us the clear winner was the original Verve. And it wasn't even close. I am talking by country mile! I had not even cleaned it yet so even with the increased surfaced noise it was vastly superior to *any* of the reissues. Cheers!

Did Exodus sell out? Exodus and Rastaman Vibrations disappeared from the AP website about the same time the entire Wailers Apple Music titles had 2013 remastered added to them. I’m wondering if they were digitally remastered. If they were, this is a major problem for Analogue Productions.

Excellent take on the whole UHQR hype machine ! I'm of the same opinion, bought both Marley UHQR's and feel there is lot to be desired for the price paid.

imo canadian pressings sound better than US pressings. they sound a bit more raw open bright. i had a uk 1st press of atom heart mother and it was slightly muddy sounding. that album is probably their worst sounding album. i think the mix is more to blame than the sound.

The original first reissue from 1967, the album release year, sounds excellent. It has the gold Electra label for record sales Gold Award Winner with the label part of the cover- not a hype sticker. This sounds better than the AP, but the AP is still quite good I was told.

one of the best ways to deal with ridiculous behavior is to laugh it off. I appreciated the effort so much I subscribed without first checking if other site content was bogus. I am fortunate to have plenty of records, and a better copy of something I already own would just be excessive consumption . I choose to upgrade my playback system to benefit all of my records, but do enjoy a few exceptionally well recorded records, most of which were normally priced, or used.
