I have both, the marshal is way better if you want to fill a room with sound, Bose is more good for direct listening, personally I would recommend the marshal more.

To me the Bose, the bass and top end sounds more prominent than the mids. I think I will be going with Marshall.

This is a poor, review for various reasons 1/ you have not equalised the volume on both speakers before beginning this comparison 2/ there is no clear way of the viewer telling exactly which of the two speakers is playing at any one time 3/ you have the Motion+ lying on its back covering the bass port 4/ you have the Marshall lying on its back covering 50% of its speakers ( one midrange and one woofer ) don’t know what possessed you to do this !! that’s half its output muffled. 5/ your microphone levels are extremely low 6/ this is in no way a good and more importantly a fair contest as the sound from the Marshall especially has in reality been muffled by your lack of understanding and placement of speaker All in all a pointless test really,,,,,

I have had both brands, got rid of the Bose and I still have my Emberton without any issues of any kind. Amazing sound every time.

I bought the JBL in the end, it's very good speaker for it's price (£99 UK), the Bose is a bit more solid on sound, but then you gotta pay another £20 more, if you're gonna pay for that, you might as well pay even more for the Sonos Roam SL which is both of these combined, loud and solid

Play music on the speaker, and just let people decide. The bose flex to me is just not worth $150. The sound is not that great ! The sound vibrates. Those who are bragging about the bose flex, it's plane to see, some people will settle for anything. Bow adjust your price and i'll buy it. Till then i'll go with the JBL.

The bose has a more toned down profile, while the emberton has a more emphasized mids and highs..for longer listening pleasure i say i go for bose..

How did you come to the conclusion it’s more rugged!? Is this something you tested and the speakers just don’t show any signs of damage or are you bias towards Marshall?

The highs on jbl is very high thats why its loud, i have both and i prefer bose warm sound.. jbl is like a man shouting at your face its irritating specialy indoor..

Great comparison! Just what I needed. Only issue was you played the Marshall sideways, but the Beosound facing up (at the camera). It isn't really fair. When you lifted the Marshall up, it sounded great.
