I learned this as stoner control in 10th planet. Eddie didn't expand on the position very well though. I so glad to see others doing more with that position. I was using from leg drag battles a lot.

So once you've put the zlock on with a "diagonal transfer" of his inside leg, do you now get a better angle for an outside heelhook on that isolated leg?

How do you think his fight with Allen will go?
@BeGrapple Жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late reply. I would've told you that I thought Muniz would have taken the fight after watch his victories over Jacare and Anders. After watching the Allen fight I was surprised! Allen looked good and had some really good top control and stopped any momentum from really building. Still think Muniz is some one to watch out for though
@SaftonYT Жыл бұрын
@@BeGrapple Thanks for getting back to me! I had Allen winning, but I didn't expect him to outgrapple Muniz in the fashion that he did. If he won, I expected it to be on the feet while stuffing takedowns and surviving bad positions on the mat. I agree that Muniz is a stylistically dangerous opponent for a lot of Middleweights, but he lacks in a few areas and I worry about his age. I'll always be excited to see him compete, though!
@BeGrapple Жыл бұрын
@@SaftonYT The second round was very telling. The moment he passed had me raise an eyebrow. His adjustments to keep Muniz in side control were also very impressive.

Thanks for subscribing :) I read a headline a while back that quoted him saying that he could submit Adesanya. While taking Stylebender to the floor is a different discussion, I can believe that in a grappling context, Muniz could get it done. At the time of writing this comment, I would say that he is a solid dark horse candidate for the division.
