The only thing you need to know about the Yamaha ttr series is, it was made to compete with a legend the Honda xr and the ttr is every bit as reliable, the 230 is a little under powered compared to the 250 but it's a lot of fun it's reliable and perfect for beginner to intermediate riders, I have a 250 put many hours on it and I fricken love it

It actually isn’t a chain guide, it’s a chain guard, but I have used it all year and have put 170 hours on the bike with it and it has done good! Hey was wondering what you had to jet it too and where the jets are on the carburetor? I have the same exhaust on a 2016 ttr 230 and it stutters and chokes when I’m riding

First take the carb out of the bike, then take the carb bowl off and the main and pilot jet are right there.

You will have to up the fuel mixture ratio because the sputtering is probably from running to lean and changing your main and pilot jets will fix that

Yes the ttr would fit you good. I am 140lbs and 5’7 and it fits me good so you should be good 👍 and I have friends that are bigger than me and ride it just fine.

The air box was the biggest thing in the way. But lots had to be removed. It took me and my friend about 3 hours to do it.
