Love your video man, I’m a bit confused about the signal chain for the drive pedal. In the video, the Ruby Red is shown at the beginning of the chain, but you mentioned it’s actually at the end. Could you clarify where it should be placed?😮

Hey I have a question brother! I plan on getting this but what I’m at a lost for is: when I tweak the knob for time, how will I know, (oh this is 1/4 this is 1/2 this is the dotted 8th and etc) I wanna dial in for accuracy, hope this makes sense! Cheers!🎉
@SamWittek7 күн бұрын
Yeah absolutely! So you can set the subdivision (dotted 8th, 8th, etc) separately, and that subdivision will remain the same no matter where you have the time knob twisted to. It's much much easier though to use the tap tempo to tap in your desired bpm, and then it'll be really clear which subdivision you're on. Hope that answers your question!
@ashthereverseflash7 күн бұрын
@@SamWittek That made perfect sense ! I needed a clear answer and this definitely helps. Appreciate the info and response!
Hey Sam I love your tone! I'm manually inputting your settings through the screenshots. For your CHILL and REWIND preset, what tap division did you use?

Great video. How do you have your MC6 Pro Editor settings set up that allow you to navigate sequentially navigate presets with just one tap? I know Toggle Mode allows you two set up what happens on Tap 1 and then Tap 2, but I can't figure out how you're navigating through so many presets with just on tap? Can you share what your settings are in the editor?

Random question… right now I have a boss Rv 6 reverb and a Joyo D-seed delay, and I’m thinking of upgrading the RV6 to a Big Sky or the Joyo to a Timeline (I can’t currently afford both). Which do you think would be better for my board?
@SamWittek7 күн бұрын
@@CarsonCruse-of2yg Man it's hard for me to say! It's such a personal preference thing, and I think it's hard for me to know since I don't know how you feel about your current delay + reverb pedals. Do you feel like you're missing anything? Off the bat I might be leaning towards a BigSky since the joyo has some solid options for delay, so that'd unlock some more versatility on the verb side of things. At the same time though the RV6 is such a staple, it's a really great verb. I don't think you could go wrong either way!
@CarsonCruse-of2yg7 күн бұрын
I do feel like I like the RV6 more than the Joyo, I usually use the analog delay, which sounds great but I would like something more present for some parts, and my other options are digital, modulated, or reverse delay, but the digital and modulated usually feel a little too sharp. On the other hand, I do like to switch some settings up on my verb for certain songs, which means I have to adjust the knobs between songs, so presets would be nice, and the Joyo does have the extra foot switch for a separate setting. Overall I feel like I lean more towards the Timeline because I already like my reverb sound, but I’m also planning on asking my worship leader which he thinks would be better for me. Thanks so much for responding and all your other great content!

Pitch Fork always makes my boards. My favourite setting is the detune "D" with mix knob around 9 o'clock. Gives a doubler/12 string/chorus. It's barely perceptible, but it give longer chords some 3D pop.

Do those jet delay and reverb pedals have spillover when changing presets or does it cut off the trails when you swap? Dig the unity 6 ill definitely be getting one. Love the clean boost. I'm curious if you can use expression pedal as a volume pedal via the unity 6? Id love to have 1 expression that is sometimes volume, and sometimes delay wet / dry ratio.
@SamWittek13 күн бұрын
I’ll have to test it again but I’m almost positive spillover still persists when changing presets on the unity6. And using an expression pedal as a volume pedal with the unity6 is actually on the roadmap. It’s not implemented yet but hopefully will be soon!

Any recommendations on using a Rat type pedal for church music?
@SamWittek18 күн бұрын
You totally could! I’m sure that’d be great for heavier gain rhythm stuff. There’s tons of good Rat style drives out there
@natekincaid934217 күн бұрын
The Kilt is a P&W staple for the rat sound. It’s based of the Expandora pedal from the 90’s, which is loosely based off the Rat. There’s plenty of cheap small rat clones out there as well.
@dannydimercurio57717 күн бұрын
Just use a normal ProCo RAT! Don’t overdo the distortion, turn the tone and level up around 3 o’clock and you’re cooking. The higher the tone the darker it is, so you can get it to sit with your band however you’d like

Love it! Yeah it should work totally fine. The only thing I'd be wary of is running too much gain from the amp. If you're running the amp set to a very high gain, then things might sound a little blown up with the reverb going IN to a very dirty amp

Your tone sounds amazing! Can you help me chose the right amp for my room? I'm looking for stereo left and right. Rig doctor helped me with my board previously. I have mastermind pbc, big sky, mobius, timeline, cali76, morning glory, sick as, kilt, pog, cloudburst, avalanche run. I also have iridium amp pedal. Not sure if I need studio speakers or 2 amps left & right? My pedalboard has left & right output
@SamWittek24 күн бұрын
Thanks! There’s really so many options you could go, it comes down to personal preference. Are you wanting to stick with modelers as opposed to real amps? If that’s the case, the iridium really is great and you could run a stereo rig with it. I use 2 ToneXs in stereo and really like them. As far as monitoring, you could go with studio monitors, or use something like the Slowgear Electronics Headphone Amp if you want to practice quietly. Hope this helps!
