Just a tip. If you go into the dyno mode you can see the specific level of oil without having to wait ages like this. It will show it like " 7.7L " for example. Just google " dyno mode " for Mercedes
@kristimitri370Ай бұрын
My car shows observe the waiting time also for some couple minutes. And i thought that i have a problem with oil sensor for taking that long. but should i wait too for 10 up to 15 mins to show the oil level

Yes sometimes it can take that long! Especially if the car has been run recently you can wait 15 minutes and it should measure after this time

FYI, these direct injection, no port injection , Lexus IS250 vehicles have issues with severe carbon buildup on the exhaust valves.The Lexus IS350 would have been a better buy as they have both port injection and GDI, hence cleaner valves.
@Enginesetc2 ай бұрын
Yes I have heard this but thanks for letting me know 🙂 I agree IS350 would be better (and not slow like this) however, sadly, in the UK we didn't get any IS350's! Import ones float around but they're around 14k, so only a few grand off an ISF!

@georgekallely71032 ай бұрын
@@Enginesetc@Enginesetc Having an IS250 with 225,000kms, it actually isn't that bad so long as quality fuel and oil was used during its life. I cleaned the values, and while it wasn't the easiest thing (The values are in the middle of the engine) opposed to a I4 or I6, there wasn't anything alarming considering the kilometres.

@Enginesetc2 ай бұрын
Hi, yes I've tried it in cold weather (living in the UK) and its never given me an issue. It shouldn't do anyway as it's electric? The only guns I could see having an issue in colder weather would be gas guns but you can get around that anyway with different gas etc. Honestly buy one of these if you want it, they're great great guns

Hello Engines Etc. I have an '04 Volvo XC70, and can confirm that the rear wiper arm is the same as the V70. Question: I notice that the trim on your V70 looks dark blue (Navy Blue maybe) have you re-dyed the dark blue trim on your V70? If you did, did you buy the dark blue trim paint\dye from Volvo direct? Thank you.
@Enginesetc2 ай бұрын
Hello, the trim is just painted satin black (was faded so repainted), I think the thing making it look slightly blue is the lighting/camera settings, sorry to disappoint! Thanks for confirming the XC70 is the same arm :)

Hey i know its an old video. Do you know about there is an oxygen sensor on volvo v70 d5 2002 . Thanks . Best regards from Danmark
@Enginesetc2 ай бұрын
Hello, Most exhaust systems will have an O2 (oxygen) sensor to monitor combustion etc in the exhaust system somewhere. If you are having issues try scanning the codes first and a good scanner will point to which sensor it is :)
@liamtree12502 ай бұрын
Ur using it wrong
@Enginesetc2 ай бұрын
How so?
@petercox92502 ай бұрын
If you remove the motor completely and unclip the plastic base. Behind the grease, you will see a shaft with two gears. There are two spherical brass bushes at each end, and a tiny shim is beside each. As the gear runs, these bushes and shims wear out. As the mirror mechanism is just one big lever, the wear is amplified, causing the mirror to wobble. Insert a couple of tiny washers on the shaft behind the ball bushings to take out some of the play. Don't remove the play completely, as you need some to compensate for the start torque of the motor. Happy Fixing!

I would like to know if it ends up in the crankcase? Is it advisable to move the car like this? If it can cause serious damage? Your guidance would be of great help to me, please 😢
@Enginesetc3 ай бұрын
Hi Edward, I would take the dipstick tube off and see if you can recover it from that end, if not you may have to remove the sump and pull it out the bottom. If it was a tiny bit of plastic I would maybe be tempted to just use it and live with it, but a good portion of the dipstick I would absolutely want to remove.

@Enginesetc4 ай бұрын
Thank you! I'm sure the correct procedure will be for it to be flat and up on a ramp etc for optimal draining. I'm sure there might be a tiny bit of oil that gets missed and pools because I lift it like this, do I think it matters? No not really when I swap the oil and filter every 10k miles or year, whichever comes first :)

you dont need to change tensioner just change the pulley like i did
