Just a shame you didn’t get more footage quarry end. Definitely looks a bit different from the air than on the ground.

Had to be careful, it doesn't look that windy on the footage, but I think it was 22mph gusts, and the drone was warning that it should return to home at that point. Thanks for watching 👀

I work here now. Ten years on the Railway, five of them at Longsight. Interesting aspect. I was showing this to my child who had just asked "dad, where do you work?" Might I suggest Crewe Electric Depot (opposite side of the Chester line to the Old Main Works, now Bombardier) for more variety? Thanks!

Living in this quiet railway town from 68 to 73 as a teenager I spent a lot of time hanging around the shed and the locos. Was there at the demise of the BR shed and the early days of Steamtown. Did enquire with West Coast Railways. Someone online had mentioned an earlier open day but the response from WCR was they had no knowledge of it :-(

@mightynosebleed747610 ай бұрын
It is just a shell, looks fantastic but has nothing inside. The engine blew in a bad way not long after it's last full repaint to the point there is a gaping hole in the side of the engine. The engine and rad rooms are a mess of rust and tangle of parts that could not be re-used. It never made it back out under its own power again, would have been to costly to repair I guess.
