That is the most logical thing to do because it actually works with sports games can agree. I remember playing 2k games and thinking seeing the ads while playing on the court it just made it feel more real. Along with the customizable shoes, gear etc. Still not 100% sure if this will happen but anything that brings in money they consider lmao.

As much as I hate Fortnite now they do have really great cross overs with different games shows and so on. They do their events very well. The final fantasy even was cool but it took over pubs for way too long and the post Malone event brought us three strikes but that’s really it on the apex side.

The fact that they made it worse on the switch is impressive. I know it’s prolly a lot harder for them to get it to work on it due to Nintendo being a little behind on hardware but still making it worse somehow??? Hopefully they’ll get it fixed for you soon!

I did indeed. A lot of people have intros to their videos saying like yo welcome back to the channel so I just swapped the letters around. It’s not super creative in all honesty but I did it once and have stuck with it💀

I was thinking about the subscription based tiers that way than can ramp it up even more lmao. I love the idea of in game tournaments that actually reward players for winning and playing top 3. Give them a prize pool of items to win like you said Ps plus, Xbox Gamepass or in game currency like shards or regular coins THEN it’s more understandable if they try and implement this change. If it truly benefits the player base okay I’m open to listen to what they have to say but it is EA so I have my doubts anything they do is for our benefit, only theirs and the shareholders.

Supposedly they can drop in apex packs . Not a clue how many you’d get in a stack or if it would be the entire pack itself but I haven’t seen anyone open shards yet.

@@procarson yeah I opened 100 packs, just to see if it was true that they would drop in packs. but I didn't get any. so I'm guessing it's like heirlooms where it's a chance of dropping or you need to open a certain amount. and I didn't get any shards

@nosam2474 with the little positive feedback they’ve seen this will continue more than likely. Like you said hopefully they make improvements to unlocking shards in packs and give us events to get them but right now it is not looking good.

Could not agree more. I had actually talked about that a little but cut it out because I would have drawn on the video a lot longer than I had planned. That’s why I don’t think it’s a god change we got a new currency and more ways to spend money easier. Like you said, where is it going? What is it funding? They keep making ways to get more money but fire the people who test the develop the game??? Doesn’t make any sense.

This actually makes a lot of sense. They were absolutely out of pocket for $160 PK skin so seeing $40 price tag is way more enticing for players. If only they didn’t let greed take over their decisions I wonder what apex would be like…

Update day is always broken🫠 the ranks just got reset for players a minute ago so hopefully they’re rolling out the fixes for that in the next hour or so as well! Haven’t seen any reports on ranked rewards yet sadly

Based apex moment

For someone who doesn’t have any shards or the cobalt katar, let’s say I get lucky and apex gives us an event to get shards for about $150 dollars, I then unlock the stock katar without completing the first set, another $40 to complete that set. Then the other 4 sets are around $50 each. That’s about $390 without including any taxes at all from buying the shards event and the exotic shards. If we don’t get any shard events every 500 packs you get heirloom shards. Not to mention buying the katar in its event was over $300 dollars not including taxes, to which you much complete the sets is around $150+. So it’s about $500 to collect the entire thing, little less if you got the katar on a free pack but most people had to comply the entire set I’m assuming.

If they come out with another 10 variants of the katar I think everyone will agree it’s all about the money. And I understand from a business standpoint they think it’ll sell and make them a lot of money I wouldn’t even have a problem with them dropping cosmetics as long as they continue to make the game better with GOOD improvements and not bricking the game with updates like they throughout the later half of season 20.

There’s nothing scary about it, this is a free to play game you don’t need to buy anything if you think it’s unfairly priced. I’ve never bought a single heirloom after 5000+ hours. But I bought this one because I can use it on every Legend. I’ve honestly been really happy with it. On top of that, these upgrades are actually cheap relative to usual heirloom re colors + they are customizable + I get a free set ($50 value). I think heirloom re colors are a much worse deal because it’s not customizable, and you have to pay full price for each color. Now I can switch up my color for a fraction of the cost. I sincerely feel happy with my purchase.

The concept of the universal heirloom is cool don’t get my wrong and i have spent plenty of money on other things in this games for sure but knowing I’d have to buy everything in these sets of katars and the katar itself adding up to several hundred dollars is insane to me. If I had an extra $1000+ a month I would more than likely buy the entire thing but I got too many bills to drop any more money into apex🫠 now if the exotic shards are pretty easy to get through packs, events and the battle pass this makes it a whole lot easier to collect and the problem isn’t as bad but I have no idea what the drop rate will be for the shards or how many they’ll give out during events yet. So this could be a bad thing or an okay thing but it is EA sadly we’ll just have to wait and see.

@@procarson Yeah, hopefully they’re generous with them. Seems like a middle ground currency, something they can lure people in with during events without giving away actual heirloom shards.

I think stealing people with her will be EXTREMELY difficult with alters ult. I’m interested to see how people will use her once she launches and how people will try and glitch her out the map cuz I’m sure it’ll happen🫠

I didn’t know the rev skin was based off transformers the caustic/ballistic make sense for sure. As much as I dog on them for making a lot of cosmetics but these are really well done and I have considered buying the rev before the season ends everyday💀

Definitely didn’t think about server space! That makes a lot of sense I never considered them just not having enough space. Hopefully it goes well for the solo players and they can maybe add more space for more game modes to stay permanent.

@procarson Yeah, I just think people including myself, are just tired of SBMM determining our randoms. Sometimes playing duos just feels like a 2v1 depending on that factor. I’m excited to scurry around the map, pulling 1v1s and third parties, and actually having to potential to win for once😂

@Kingfisher-Inc. the random teammates make zero sense 9/10 times. Sbmm has ruined a lot of games in my eyes

@procarson It’s crazy when you do actually somehow make it into an even fight. There have been memorable back and forth fights where me and my enemy are so close in skill that even if I lose? I’m not mad! I had fun because it felt like a genuinely fair fight that wasn’t over in half a minute. It’s crazy! But those are SO rare that it hurts! It would be more fair if pubs didn’t include ANY matchmaking and just let the players sort it out. Stronger players will win, weaker players will lose, and weaker players can get better without Apex trying to curate artificial results.

If I got dunked on and lost a legit fight I respect it and tip the person but i only get those in ranked and it’s rare when I get them🫠 pubs need no match making can agree a million percent and most the time I see new players who have never played running in 3 stack preds just doing kill grinding🫠 the whole system doesn’t make sense at all.

I’ll definitely be yelling at it when someone uses it against me next season🫠

@@procarson yea I need my money more than ea lol. and skins dont really effect gameplay. The 30$ I did spend were on the pay to win R9, Wingman, PK, and they had both jack-o’-lantern bloodhound Recolors for $10 on Halloween in 2021. That’s it. No battle passes or anything.

I remember putting in some disgusting hours in for season 18/19 getting masters both seasons. It was driving me insane anytime I had a bad day of ranked. I haven’t barely tried ranked this season and I am as so much more peace with myself when I play but still that competitive itch makes me want to do good still🫠

I’m assuming since they said they’re looking into it it could be today/tomorrow it could get fixed. Crossing my fingers it’s sooner so everyone can get it before the season ends because they don’t have many days left until the new season🫠

@Hxrley_Quinn I saw I wasn’t excepting that many people to get cut but if they’re going through with a whole relaunch of the team/org it makes sense. Very happy Jev is still apart of the team I’ve been watching him for years and I look up to him a ton.

I have the razor app on pc that might help with my sound settings? I haven’t really changed it much from the default in apex I play with master volume at about 80 and then I crank my headset up some while I’m playing as well. Apex is notorious for having bad audio in game at times so it could be the game and not your headset sadly🫠

@RickyBobby994 completely understandable of course. Corsair makes some pretty good headsets as well. I had Astro A50s before this one but the battery was dying super fast so I got this pair only because it was on sale for $100 and the reviews looked pretty good.
