How much CH items are worth is how much you are willing to pay. Unless I am drawing in millions monthly, I do not see myself spending on these.

I completely agree that fashion should be fun, and i do like the pieces you showed off... but realistically this ain't the economy to be buying things I'm only going to wear a few times before the novelty wears off. I'm not trying to call you out or be rude, there's just no way you're gonna look me in the eyes and tell me you're keeping half of those pieces in your actual rotation for more than two years, and that's being generous. Like even if I had the disposable income to buy novelty pieces, I'd still invest it in something that's expensive, but high in quality and timeless enough to last me a while.
@wheres_galdo
@wheres_galdo Ай бұрын
@@rhithym totally fair. Some of these prices will lose their luster and I will eventually cycle a good chunk of them out like you say however the more disposable items in my eyes would be the items that I thrifted (which is pretty much half the items in this video) so instead of looking at them as investment prices, I see them more as spice added to a dish. Where my staple wardrobe is the dish but the novelty items add some spice/whimsical flare. I 100% agree buying high quality and investment pieces are the best way to build a wardrobe but for the purposes of this video, I just wanted to change pace from my normal pretty serious clothing content to something a bit lighter hearted. I appreciate your time watching the video and you sharing your thoughts 🤝

0:40 I feel like that’s right. I don’t think it’s that serious unless you are getting dressed in PPE for work. I feel like if you are an adult you should be able to dress how you want and not have to dumb yourself down just to look “ mature “. I feel like part of being an adult is being able to finally do the things you want to do. That’s USA jacket is crazy 😀

Howdy, just wanted to leave a comment explaining some FFA history & other facts. For background I’ve been an FFA member for 7 years now, I started on the middle school level and I just because a state officer for Maryland FFA. This was a really good video but there are some things I’d like to point out. - The Jacket’s Back: The bottom of the jacket dosent actually mean the town or area as it may be assumed. It actually is the name of a particular chapter school. In competition, events, and just in general, it allows for easy ID of members. While the top supplying state information is handy, the bottom supplying the particular school makes it great for FFA official events which typically have hundreds of members present. This is something that still remains on current jackets being produced. - Degree pins! That grey/silver pin you had of the FFA logo was actually a FFA Chapter Degree. In FFA there are four main degree pins you can earn with a fifth occasional one. The first pin is the occasional one i mentioned before, the discovery degree. If you were active in a FFA chapter in middle school then you were awarded that pin at banquet. Next the order goes Greenhand, Chapter, State, and American. Degrees are typically awarded at FFA banquets with the exception of State Degrees and American Degrees. State Degree chains (Gold chains attached to the jacket) are issued at banquet but then a little gold ffa emblem is placed on the chain at State Convention. The American degree is a similarly styled gold emblem but with a key on it and is issued at National Convention. It is the hardest to achieve due to you actually having to graduate before being able to get it. While we’re talking pins; Old degrees are stored in the flap inside the jacket with pins by the name going in the order of highest degree, highest award, and highest office. Awards such as your star Greenhand award, are just that, award pins. Office pins are little FFA pins which have symbols representing different offices that FFA Officers hold. Each officer has a unique symbol in FFA so these office pins represent that. That’s about it with pins though. - FFA Jackets have different logos: Right off the bat you can usually tell if a jacket is older or newer based off the quality of the logo alone. Newer jackets have a straight FFA text and have a much higher quality logo. The corn gold on the logo also tends to be brighter and the national blue on the jacket is a similar navy color. So in the future if you wanna look for newer jackets look for things like that. - FFA Official Dress: Obviously not telling you what to do or not what to do with your jacket as you bought it and it’s yours but I do wanna talk about the dos and do nots. Just because someone might come up to you in public and say it in a not so nice way. FFA members are really the only ones who should wear the jacket according to the code. It’s a federally chartered organization so with that comes a huge sense of pride. Generally FFA jackets should only be worn by current active members (not even alumni which is crazy), be worn in accordance to FFA official dress, and have no modification or unofficial attachments to it. If a FFA jacket is sold to a non member all pins, lettering, and logos are supposed to be removed. Obviously though this isn’t a crime no one is gonna arrest you and the majority of people won’t really care. It’s just something to be aware of and keep in mind especially around hardcore FFA members. So don’t take this as an attack or anything it’s just a general tidbit about the jacket. Within the organization it’s a huge uniting symbol as it represents over 52 different FFA associations spread out among 50 states and 2 U.S territories, it represents 9,163 chapter schools, and 945,988 members. Anyways though obviously it’s your property so again not going to tell you what to do or not do with it, just wanted to make sure that I at least included it on this informational post. That’s all I got right now, just felt like posting this to explain the organization a bit. It’s a really great student lead organization which continues to grow and educate new leaders. Even if you don’t like Agriculture in particular the presence of competitions in Prepared Speaking, Food Nutrition, and Veterinary Sciences among others shows that there’s much more to it then just learning to grow corn or milking a cow. If you have any chapters around or want to support FFA in any way I definitely would look into it. If not then at least you have something cool to wear with the rest of your fashion stuff! Great Video!
