Also feel free to reach out to us at [email protected] or call in and we can tell you more about our products and maybe you will start to see the value that others see in our products and how it supports their hobbies of Offroading and recreational activities. Can other 40” light bars be mounted to the roof rack other than heretic?
@trailrax

Great question! There are plenty more out there. We currently have Baja Designs S8 which is most comparable to size in the Heretic. We will say the S8 pushes more light intensity as well, basically brighter. Baja S8s are in stock at our site.

You will want to either use drop in Tnuts or drop the crossbar you want to use to slide hardware in, then remount the crossbar.

I'm confused. Aren't your crossbars 2" wide? If so, the 14" and 16" measurements are impossible - it would have to be a 4" difference to allow for the size of 2 crossbars. Do the tent mounts work with the cross bars mounted using the standard "fixed" holes in the side rails, or do some of them need to be moved? If I used this setup, could I simply unbolt the tent mounts (yes, I know it's a total of 36 bolts) from the rack's crossbars and lift the whole assembly off when the tent isn't needed? It looks like those bolts would be relatively easily accessible with a ratcheting box wrench, or hopefully a low-profile battery powered ratchet wrench. (Maybe use the 1.5" tent mounts to give more clearance for a power tool?)
@trailrax
@trailrax 2 ай бұрын
Yes the Crossbars are 2" wide. The measurements are not impossible. They work in TrailRax's "fixed" holes, Other brands may differ, hence us giving you the dimensions needed for space between each crossbar. You could unbolt the tent mounts but we recommend unbolting from the Alucab load bar off our tent mounts and leaving the tent mounts on. It is less bolts and nuts to loosen and remove.
@markpatrick9452
@markpatrick9452 2 ай бұрын
@@trailrax Thanks for the prompt reply. I see your point about fewer bolts, but the bolts you mention seem like they would be difficult, if not impossible, to reach once the whole thing is assembled, or am I missing something? Regarding the impossibility of the measurements, if you did not misspeak when you said '14" from inside edge to inside edge and 16" From outside edge to outside edge' then those measurements are, in fact, impossible. Think of it this way: If the two crossbars were against each other (i.e., 0" between inside edges), the outside edges would be 4" apart (2 x 2" crossbars). If you increase the inside measurement to 14" as stated in the video, the outside edge distance would increase by the same amount and be 18" apart, NOT 16"

1st Time Users, BEWARE: The rubber shock pads actually scratched my hard top roof ! I mounted the PakRax correctly and after my first time off roading with the PakRax mounted to my Jeep, I came home, unmounted the rax from my Jeep, ... and noticed the rubber disc pads had rubbed the side of my hard-top roof , leaving permanant circular wear marks ! Hey! Thank you for your comment and thank you for your interest in our products! We are proud to say that our Rack is actually one of the lower priced racks on the market. Our rack starting at $1449.99 (4 Door Rack) / $1199.99 (2 Door Rack) sits actually in the lower 1/3 of major brands on the market making roof racks for the Ford Bronco. (Comparing 4 Door Racks) Currently starting costs sit as low as $1209.99 and as high as a $2499.99. While yes we offer an optional add on of our Pak Rax, at a price of $500 additional on top of the cost of the Bronco TRMR Rack, it would be unfair to factor in an accessory to your cost analysis vs other options on the market. We feel like we have definitely accomplished this competitive price. While you may think we have "bought off" every youtuber, they understand they need the best product for their content creation and we offer exactly that. We work closely with influencers and content creators but by no means just "bought off" every youtuber. We would love to talk to you more on this and go into detail if you would like, feel free to give us a call or email.

The mounting plate are screwed on the inner holes of the base plate, however in the video at 5min 20sec, this appears to be bolted to the outside holes (like the JK). Question, does it matter, can the mounting plate be installed on the outside on JL ?

How are the Roam cargo boxes mounted on the rack? I have a Trailrax on my bronco and am looking to add some cargo boxes. I like the Roam but not sure how to mount it. Do you have any information on that? I don’t see any cargo boxes on the Trailrax accessory page

@@TIMPORTER100 That is exactly right. The Rugged mounts or their new cheaper mounts will work on our rack with their carriage bolts provided. When bolting down the front of the rack with the two mounting brackets on the mounting studs, I found it easier to remove the two outermost t-slot bolts and washers on each side of the wind deflector and then slide the wind deflector enough to expose the mounting bracket making it much easier to get a wrench in there to tighten the two nuts going on the mounting studs. Once you finish the first side, go to the opposite side and slide the wind deflector the opposite direction to expose the second mounting bracket. Once complete, align the wind deflector to reinstall the t-slot bolts and washers then realign the wind deflector to its final position even with each edge and tighten all bolts. Hope this helps!
