omg hamburg!!! this might get quite long but hopefully there's some stuff for you i here :-) in regards of thriftstores i'd recommend humana, it's a chain and they have several ones throughout the city. i would look out for the distinction between the "trend & vintage" shop (only one) and the "secondhand & vintage" shops (four) bc the latter tend to have a wider range of clothes and are cheaper. the red cross also has at least one second hand clothing shop thats quite nice (in altona). you might come across one thats called "pick 'n weight" (in the sternschanze), personally i wouldn't recommend it based on the fact that their pricing is quite high, but they do have a wide variety of clothes so you might wanna check it out anyways :-) we also have a secondhand store called "stilbruch", they have everything - furniture, books, cds, electronics, tableware,... - fun! (it's in altona) with other stuff - sternschanze, st. pauli and altona are the popular areas with regards to bars, restaurants etc. if you like falafel, def. try out either "kimo" or "falafelstern", they're right next to eachother and there's kind of a rivalry going on because of that lol. fun fact: most people that go to the sternschanze frequently are either a "kimo" or a "falafelstern" person (i think they're both good but i do prefer falafelstern). some cafés i like are the "kandie shop" and "kaffee stark", they're also right next to eachother and in st. pauli. oh and there's a small area called "karoviertel", close to the u bahn station "feldstraße", just walking through there is really nice! there are (really expensive) vintage clothing stores, record shops etc. what else - outside stuff/parks: - our harbour is of course pretty cool i'd say, you can walk from the fischmarkt (get there from the sbahn station königstraße or reeperbahn) to u stadthausbrücke and get a nice overview of it. be prepared though, it can get very touristy and busy! - the stadtpark is quite big and really pretty, in there is also the "planetarium", even if you don't go in and see a show, it looks impressive from the outside i think! - "planten un bloomen" (s bahn dammtor) and the "loki schmidt garten" (s bahn klein flottbek) are our botanical gardens and i think the latter is quite underrated bc its a bit outside of the city centre, I've only been there once myself but i really really liked it - the speicherstadt is also cool to walk through, it translates literally to "storage city" and used to be the area where spices, rugs etc were stored when hamburg was flourishing with trade i think thats all i can think of right now but let me know if you have any specific questions I'd love to help!! :) i hope you like it here

ida, i've fallen in love with your videos over the past few months and i wanted to let you know how you've touched my life and helped me live more intentionally. we're quite literally from opposite sides of the world (i live in the midwest usa) but i'm forever startled and delighted by how similar our lives are. i hope your summer is bountiful and bright!

such a dreamy haul!! I love the linen set with the pleated skirt... so cute. also love the attention to natural materials, lately whenever I thrift I also have been avoiding synthetic materials - not only for environmental reasons but I also hate the way they feel on my body. this video is such an inspiration, as always! 🖤happy summer🌿🌼

THis video is a jewel box with gorgeous nuggets from your life and mind. Loved watching, so relaxing and nostalgic. Your spring looks alot like mine in California: green and yellow of sorrel, mustard, dandelions. Hugs
