I'll shortcut this since ive told it 1000 times in the last 15 years online lol in 1994,i was 14 with a fruend who was 16 abd 2 adults on a camping trip, after mixing up a 3 mile trail fir an 11 mile one we went about 9,2 miles left from the cars a black bear probabley adolescent ut was big but not like crazy big walked out onto tge trail 100 feet back from us,it never advanced,or made noise just followed at our speed a mile,im unsure uf ut smelled our remaining food in ziplock bags and closed up but it just seemed curious. I didnt want ut getting back to the cars though so i suggested...yeah none of us were nature people, i saud dump our food out, distract it then we hurry the last mile to the cars. We dumped a couple sandwiches, jerky, trailmix and kept walking it got to the food stopped, looked at us sniffed the food looked at us then started eatinh and we walked calm but faster to the cars and were fine. I never actually ever went back in woods again hahaha

A bear can smell so well they can smell time. If you walk across a trail, and then 2 days later walk across again, the bear will detect two different scent trails.

I still believe putting the $$ in a trust until the player leaves or graduates is the best thing for the NIL money. This will protect the player from himself and their "hangers on," along with other assorted ne'er do wells. The transfer portal is another issue...

Not a perfect throw but a good one for sure.. perfect throw would have led him more in stride toward the end zone. He had the man beat but had to slow up a bit to the right and allowed the db to catch up. A perfect throw would have produced a tuddy.. however I do love the analysis and a great job reading the d from the qb

You can be employed by a non-profit and all the same employment law still applies. Everyone now is trying to pretend the athletes are essentially independent contractors which probably isn't the case under IRS regulations. Them being employees opens up all sorts of things like payroll taxes, income tax withholdings, etc etc.

Matt can always be depended upon to not only make us think, but also blow away some of the clouds of confusion that form when Monday Morning Quarterbacks gather around an excess of "adult beverages" and promote their own conjured up opinions (many of which probably are simply figments of imaginations). Way to go, Matt!

The NCAA knew this was coming and refused to act, now it's a mess. What they should have done was place a players money in a trust fund and only can cash out once graduated. This gives incentive for the third year player to stick around and finish school. Sure you can try out for the draft but you also loose your money. Secondly, that trust fund stays with the school. If the player wants to transfer, go ahead but you are starting all over. This gives the flexibility for players to make their own decisions. Each school is limited by a cap, so if a school wants to sink all the money to get one player, go for it but it will hurt them for others. If the player quits or loses eligibility or kicked from the team, that money is added to the schools cap. Some might say leaving the trust with the school is unfair, however if you don't do that, the transfer portal will be a mess. The players must be careful choosing a school to play for, and not just pick which one will pay the most each year.

3:30 non-profit: revenue minus expenses equals zero... for-profit: revenue minus expenses not equal to zero, if greater than zero then "profitable"... paying players means athletic department expenses just went up

A way to fix it: 1. Every player gets the same weekly check, which is enough for a students living expenses. 2. Players also get paid a bonus based upon string for each game that goes into an account. Each string is paid a set amount and paid the same rate... whether he is a qb or a punter. Players get quarterly statements, similar to a 401k. These accounts are transferable as the player transfers. 3. Players only get their bonus money if and when they graduate. This system will place incentives where they belong on player performance and academic performance.

also a mississippian here, i think i am missing the point here, i dont particularly care for this place. theres some diamonds in the rough absolutely, there have been AMAZING people to come from this state, all of which are very passionate about what they do. to me it seems that the general population, at _least_ in the younger groups, myself being a kid who goes to school, are rather cold and will turn away from you if youre marginally different than them. i have met some nice people of course, so i wont say this place is all bad, but being different in mississippi is not very fun

Old video, but thought I'd let anyone who passes by that we have a free iPad telestrator on the app store now that works well with OBS (perfect for streamers). It's called "Telestripe". You can't yet use video files, but you can telestrate over live OBS video, which is probably what most of you want anyway. For the moment it only supports NDI (which is uncompressed video), so if you're going full wireless on the ipad, you'll need high bandwidth wifi. But we're coming out with a low bandwidth solution soon ;)

Yep The Capitol of Mississippi, Jackson has been the car theft capital of the world on several occasions. And there is a reason for that but I digress. With that being said, Ms is known for being the hospitality state for a reason. We are not a bunch of knuckle dragging apes as many portray us. For instance when Katrina hit the coast in Ms., neighbors stepped up and treated neighbors like love ones and hand in hand they came back from a devastating blow, in New Orleans most waited on the nanny state to continue to provide. They huddled in a stadium, hungry, complaining, with some dying, many gun carring cops looted businesses. Yeah there is a difference in Ms. and so many other places. Its got its problems but if you need prayer and help, you are very likely not to have to look to far in Mississippi.

By coincidence, I have the misfortune of staying in Mississippi tonight as I travel. The dirty south is disgusting. Louisiana is the unwashed ball sack, Mississippi is the dirty bunghole and Alabama is the sweaty ass crack. You couldn’t pay me enough money to live here. I am dumber for just driving through here. I can’t wait to get back to Texas.
