You mentioned the epidural knocked you out so lm assuming you had so much drugs in your system you couldn’t understand what you where being told or misunderstood. Oxygen sats of 85% is a true medical emergency, not a "we are a bit busy at the moment" take him back to the ward and we will come get him to admit the baby to NICU. Your baby would have been blue at 85% called hypoxemia and that severely low level of oxygen would have been affecting his brain. In hindsight its probably good you had been so "high" on drugs but it has clouded your recollection of events.
