I loved this episode so much as a kid that I painstakingly figured out how to record it onto a VHS tape on our old tv (carefully stopping and starting again between commercials) and kept the tape to watch, over and over again, well into high school.

The reason Why I believe x-men evolution Was The better cartoon instead of 90's version is because Before They were The Heroes We all know And Loved They were Teenagers Just like Us We could Automatically relate to them

It always did feel a little odd to me that Charles runs a 'school' in the original show but we like....never see the mansion function as one. They take in Jubilee but then you only really see her doing X-men stuff afterwards. Even if we take the school as being ONLY concerned with teaching mutants to control their powers...that's never really shown outside of combat training in the danger room. Most of the time the X mansion basically serves the same function as the T tower in the Teen Titans cartoon, just the place where all the team live together at.
