Big whoop What happens if I go for the lifetime membership and it doesn’t live up to my expectations? Frankly, $160 is more than I’m willing to gamble

Perffct! Im from Brazil and spanish is easier cause we speak portuguese here.. but sometimes is a little confusing not to get back to portuguese and find the correct spanish words.. this helped a lot!

Very interesting and useful concept. Getting the conversation rolling and not overthinking it is a great way to challenge yourself and level-up your Spanish. Beginners can also start by using conjunctions i.e. "conjoining words" like and, but, or and stretch the heck out of those! Lol

Ironically, I understand Spanish more and conversed easier in Mexico than in the US. I think that’s because there were more Mexican girls on my soccer team than Puerto Rican girls🤷🏽‍♀️

Imagine yourself pausing the video at 0:35 and coming up with your own translated responses to these statements. You then pause again at 1:06 to cope with the fact that your responses were all wrong.. 😂 Well done sir.... you have earned your subscription... I must learn the correct way...

I was wondering why we don’t use the gerund and instead use lugar que +infinitive when translating the “ing” words… I guess it’s not technically the present? Instead of confirm”ing” etc? I just discovered your channel and now I gotta join the crew!

Hey Qroo - I'm not sure if you'll see this but I just wanted to comment a couple things. First off- you're an amazing teacher :) you mentioned you tend to draw people who don't learn 'traditionally' - it seems to me your lessons are very neurodivergent friendly :) you seem to just naturally pick up on things like 'don't freak out, that word just means this' I noticed twice at moments I was just starting to panic lol I also like the sneaky light smarm wrapped in constructive criticism(what? You've never had that happen in english? - I mean I took that as 'you're smart enough to know the answer so why do you need to ask' lol) that's very Australian. You also mentioned the apps. Now for what it's worth i have learnt more from two of your videos than I did from 24 days on the app But it DID serve a purpose. It was a good test of if it was a passing fancy and once I got here, I DID have enough base information to work with (like I already know it's 'juice of orange ' 'store of clothes' etc and you havent mentioned that at all for example) it made the first lesson much less overwhelming And it's amazing how quickly I can build off what you've taught me- I just made 'excepciónal' with the AL rule in a sentence I was writing and I was so happy it was right lol The other benefit of the apps I find especially for adhd is its a constant little reminder so even if I go through a week where I just do one duo lesson each day to keep the streak alive, it's enough that i don't FORGET about it. And I get my bursts when I get them and that's when I spend an hour watching videos or just writing and playing around with what I know :) Anyway. Just for what its worth.

This is what happened to me. I worked xray in a hospital that had MANY Mexican immigrants. I HAD to learn spanish to get my job done faster. Using the translator phone every time would take way too long. Then I found myself stuck, only able to speak "xray spanish". I couldnt have a pleasant conversation, only explain exams and give instructions. Now Im progressing further, and that base understanding from work is really helping me. My plan is to take subjects and hobbies I already am obsessed with, and learn how to talk about them in spanish with other people, read about them, watch videos about them. So far so good

I think sometimes que lo que sounds better than de lo que for example tiene menos que lo que le gustaría tener if you said tiene menos de lo que le gustaría tener it would sound like has less of what he/she would like to have.

I'm leaning your subj triggers but I find in conversation I never use them because I'm not relaxed enough- I tend to just stick with the imperative all the time. Anyway, I am fairly fluent since doing a Spanish degree and a semester abroad 25 years ago. But I never even knew so much of this stuff- especially about the subjunctive!! One problem I have now is that I get nervous speaking Spanish and have trouble controlling my air intake- so I'm like rushing through my phrases them gasping for air! Advice? dee><>

Hi Qroo, this is Ashley (originally it is Aslihan) from Istanbul / Turkiye. I very recently finished the 1st 11 videos on beginners' series. It was awesome! It makes it soo much easier, i always thought to myself "yes spanish seems to be easy at first, but there are so many irregularities and so many stuff that just does not make sense" and guess what, your vidoes did make sense a lot. Just toight (well it is 10pm now in Istanbul time , i started the "breaking out of the beginners" series. Please do keep making these videos or shorts, whatever they are called, i am so glad you are out there. And believe me I have searched for a lot of similar channels, but you really nail it!
