Watching again for the 100th time 😂... The details you add are so good mate. I need to whip out the static grass fly swotter and stop putting it off. First I'll need to get the ballast done...just needed a kick up the backside 😂 👍 Scratch building looks really rewarding, i think ill have to scratch build the main station as cant find anything that will fit that doesnt look a bit naff 😮

Another question. You have reduced the loco to tender gap. Wondering which method you have used for that. A method has been described on a well known railway social media site on how to do that. Reduced from 5.5 to 3mm without any wiring changes.

Nice to see that you’re back on the old layout Lewis What I loved about your channel was you gave us a little bit of “Everything” and I for one loved watching the creative side of you when you built a new “Scene” and how you effortlessly transformed a piece of flat board into a beautiful country scene I understand what with the layout being in the loft there’s limited time to work due to the weather conditions

When an engine is given a test run, the first test is light engine, with no load at all. The second test is with a light load, say two coaches or four wagons and a Guard's Van, if all has gone well with the first. The third test is a fully loaded passenger train, consisting of as many as six coaches. This happens over the period of a week or two, if the test takes place on the main line. For a branchline, or heritage railway, the tests are carried out over the period of a few days. It's good you've got the Jack of all Trades running nicely, but never put lead in the boiler. This can make the model dangerous for children to handle. Take the lead out and put back the proper mechanics. Better to be safe than sorry.
