OTR right there. Not every truck stop has full showers, this is coming from a receiver at my job. Alot have to run harder then dedicated like UPS, USPS and FedEx.

So how is it working for Arrow? I work for two different contractors. Pulled out of 432 for 3 years. Weekend guy that was me just a part time job for me. But no longer run got slashed and I didn’t stay. 🤷♂️
@michaelleenoon13 күн бұрын
My run has been pretty consistent for the past year and a half. There have been a few cancellations over the past couple of months but I think freight is lighter all around. I like the contractor I run for.

One thing I like to do with the air ride dolly is hook the air lines up to the lead trailer. I keep my trailer brakes released after backing under my rear trailer. I leave the trailer brakes in and just connect the back air lines on the dolly to my rear. That way I don’t have to go back to the truck till I’m ready to roll.

My grandpa drove triples for ups for a living. I dont know much about "braging," but i would think FedEx,Ups would have a way to lock the pup dolly to keep it straight.

My favorite part of pulling doubles, has gotta be hooking them. My least favorite part of pulling doubles, has gotta be hooking and dropping 6+ sets a night...

I know the Columbus yard when I see it! I was out of Perrysburg up north. Safety tip - Cross your chains from the dolly to the lead trailer instead of just hooking them straight. What it essentially does is prevent the tongue of the dolly from touching the ground if it somehow disconnected from the lead trailer.

Great video driver! I drove for a contractor out of Rialto CA a couple years ago but i ended up getting sick and had to get off the road..i was lucky enough to have had a dedicated route going from the rialto yard to tacoma WA. Three loops a week ..great miles..but i did run wild for the first 6 months the last time i stepped food at the ohio terminal the drivers lounge was being remodeled..it felt good seeing your video lord knows how much i miss driving! Stay safe driver and hammer down!

Used to be plenty of parking, all that is out there now are the solar drivers, nobody can drive all night anymore, the new breed has to park up before 5:00 pm, and that's why you can't find a parking spot anywhere.

First day driving apparently. Trucks park like that everywhere, get used to it or hang it up. Lot was most likey full by the time they got there and that was the only option. I really hope your driving is 100% by the book, following every rule to the T. Out here calling people a dummy for what? Maybe next time you should give up your space for another driver. Then you won't be bothered by another drivers parking. Or maybe just STFU and worry about your own rig.

Dragging a trailer loaded with the landing gear down will do it everytime. Some people seem to have the idea you have to drag a trailer halfway across a parking lot to tug test it.

Except the spuds are in truck tyre tracks and hardly a truck load. While this doesn't prove it wasn't spilled from truck and someone disturbed later it does create serious doubt.
