I like Dolly Parton but I'm sorry she is not Rock n Roll. She is country. BOSTEN represents the BEST in rock n roll and absolutely deserves to be inducted. Tom is a genius and has proved it many times over....I love them ❤️

Vinyl Guide Podcast… thank you brother for doing this interview with Tom. I know from the date it was done several years ago and yes, I’m just now hearing it on my KZfaq but what a great interview because he really was and is the real deal and people need to know the truth about Boston and you did that in this interview so thank you. I totally enjoyed it immensely…..Blessings to you!

The first Boston I ever heard was on 8-Track and yes, I literally wore out completely Two 8-Track tapes of the first Boston album…. and I also had a friend who did the same.!!

So Densmore still didn't know about the live recording of their New Orleans gig? And he doesn't seem to be interested at all, that's strange. Btw this recording is reputed to be in good quality and they played a complete show (about 90 minutes long). I guess it was not a total disaster... and every true Doors fan wants to hear it, at last!

Respect for Mike for including the parts of punk and hardcore that don't directly appeal to him, such as Revelation and Victory Records.

Great video!! Faith No More was also on Slash Records in the UK, makes sense. I imported the CD into the UK in 1995 when it wasn't released over here, also bought a Disco Volante tshirt (album cover on the front, the disco volante script on the bottom rear) when they played here in early 96.

Great video! The higher up the chain, more is revealed in the recording. And then you begin hearing faults in the actual recording itself!

Interesting that The Acid Archives is mentioned heavily here but no mention of The Archivist, and its review of the album. The latter is the xian version of the former, and the review in it by Ken Scott is the one everyone quotes, not the one from Acid Archives. I wish people who talk about xian music would buy the book and take a month long dive into the genre and learn more about the great music produced back in the day about Jesus. Anyhow, there's more I could say but I don't want to sound negative. I'm glad this reissue is coming out.

I live in Russia and I can't describe all the ways Steve influenced my life with his punk ethos, his honest attitude, his big heart and, of course, his talent. He proved with his life that doing things on a human level is possible, that you don't have to be big and important to touch people's hearts and that music is not some exclusive unattainable endeavour. Thank you for everything. May your soul rest in peace, dear Steve.

When Shellac put out 1000 Hurts, it was some rumours (gossips actually) that Shellac refused to play in Brazil (I’m from Brazil) because the quality of the gears it wasn’t good enough for the band. I’m 2008 Shellac went to Brazil and Argentina, has done a tour, played in a lot small venues and part of the tour, they played in small cities in Brazil in very modest gears for free. Steve Albini, tremendous respect for him and for his passion for the music. RIP

Tom is a major talent and commitment to his vision. I have a number of those OG pressings. It became a bit of an obsession to grab the early ones when I saw them for a decent price. They sound so great. As Tom discussed vinyl has it all over CDs and digital and for me those early pressings put the newer ones to shame. It is the one album that every time it’s played it just makes me feel great. It’s 1976 again and my youth is back. Tom if you’re reading this I hope to run into you someday at a record shop. If not, thanks for your commitment to getting the sound out of your head and captured so we could hear it too.
