I am interested in weight training. I just turned 75 and am not very active, basically walking. In my 40's, I had a personal trainer at my local YMCA in NH. I was able to bench press 90 lbs before I stopped my training. Big mistake! I live in upstate NY (Fort Edward) and am interested in starting weight training again.

Find a good local gym and talk to the leader to get a good, experienced weight trainer, especially, suitable for elderly. Approach your goal very slowly. Perhaps, you should start with general exercises first, to get into shape suitable for weightlifting. Consult with the trainer and good luck. I am a year older than you but exercising in gym regularly and for a long time by using weights, but not weightlifting. I was introduced to weightlifting just recently after a trainer showed me few exercises and I like the challenge weightlifting presents. I think it strengthen my back as well.

A good 20% of the ingredients are rather toxic, IMHO. Apple sauce has arsenic and a ton of pesticides. Canola Oil ? ' nuff said... Need I continue?

It would be nice if you went after the scammers called contractors. Those assholes you let get away with murder and boot victims with "it's a cival issue call a lawyer. It would also be nice if you just had this somewhere with a simple sheet with a key points that somebody could print out and look at. This is an hour video.

NYSOFA is developing a new scam guide that we will print and post soon. In the meantime, there are many useful brochures and other resources online, including this one: www.bulkorder.ftc.gov/sites/bulkorder.ftc.gov/files/publications/1009a_how_to_avoid_a_scam_july2023.pdf

@@NewYorkStateOfficefortheAging Tell me how to report a suspicion of fraud in a health care. It is not true that someone interested to avoid fraud, if you report suspected fraud to state employees, are very aggressive and approve federal benefits, without knowledge of consent.

In order to avoid our voice being recorded from our voicemail or answering machine, wouldn't an easy solution be to just delete your message and use a prerecorded message provided by phone company?

God Bless you for taking the time to do this. I'm under 65, but hear that they are going to let go many people this year. I'm TERRIFIED to lose this as I live in a rural area as a property caretaker & without medicaid I don't know what I would do. I have to renew and am so intimidated by the renewal process.

Hi, I have a question about the online application form section B, employer's name and employer's address. I had my health insurance coverage from my wife's employer before she retired. She just retired and I am applying medicare part B. Can you confirm whether the employer's name should be wife's employer or my employer? Thank you!
