I tried end myopia but with my computer desk job it was becoming tougher and tougher for me , so I just opted for smile eye surgery , my prescription was -7 diopters in both eyes with cylinder -2.5 in both eyes . My eyes are 20/20 now and I don't have to wear glasses anymore. Getting rid of glasses was a life changing decision for me. Also I am suffering from no sideffects , no eye dryness nothing whatsoever . The only side effect (I won't even call it a sideffect its not big of worry) is that sometimes at night time I see a Lil bit of star bursts but that goes away after blinking 2-3 times . I wish I could've done it with endmyopia but endmyopia was not effective for me .

I was wearing -7 diopters with prisms. I was given an incorrect prescription and kept going to specialists who told me my vision was perfect. It took 7 so called professionals to listen to me and find the error which had pulled my eye inward causing double vision. I could not afford the high price to replace these glassed but I had some reading glasses that were -5 with no prisms so I wore them full time. In a short time I was seeing very clearly with them. I have now reduced another diopter and a quarter. So I have gone from -7 with prisms to -3.75 with no prisms and weaker ones for computer. I go without when possible. My eyes continue to improve. It takes a bit of time but it does work.

I agree with not wearing minus lenses at all. I'm not sure about wearing lower diopter glasses because you're still producing a phenomenon which I call "convergence" where the eyes are tricked into thinking objects are much closer than they actually are. I like the idea of being in natural light which I've been able to do for the last five years. I prefer the USNA method of using plus or reading glasses to do near work and even midrange work, say like 50 cm to 100 cm away; anything less is near work (<50 cm). Genetics has nothing to do with getting nearsighted; it's all close work exacerbated by using minus lenses! Good luck

Are you sure about genetics having no effect? My dad is indoors at almost all times and spends 10+ hours a day staring at a computer screen (it's his job), doesn't wear glasses and has almost perfect vision. My mom spends way less time in front of screens and other closework and spends a lot of time outside and doesn't wear glasses but she is very nearsighted.

For most of my life I have been wearing weaker glasses than what I should have according to what was measured. And it had no effect on it getting worse, it was still getting worse. As a child I was trying to be without glasses as much as possible, then later when it was too bad to be without them I was wearing weaker than what was measured for my condition, and still the myopia kept getting worse for years. :/

Started my journey at -3.50 sphere, and -2.25 cyl (astigmatism) both eyes. And after 6-7 months I'm now down to -2.75 sphere, -2.00 cyl. (currently getting to -2.50 sph, -2.0cyl) I'll be honest the lady's video was very hard to understand to me and honestly not very helpful at all (atleast from this one off video). But I'm here to help anyone having improved my own eyes. Feel free to ask me anything. BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING. Make sure you get an as accurate as possible up to date prescription. Make sure they give you your PD distance (Distance between your pupils essentially). PD is used to center the lenses to be aligned with your eye pupils when you order glasses online. If you order from the doc they'll do it for you, but if you want to order yourself you need to get close as possible or the progress will be straining/slower. and nail the axis as close as possible for your astigmatism (the angle in which your eyes are oblong usually 0 to 180). Some docs like to make both eyes have the same prescription because they are close enough even though they differ (especially if you wear contacts). Don't do this, make sure you get it dead on per eye independently. Now the process is dead bootie simple. Say your eyes are -5.00 sphere, and -3.50 cyl (astigmatism). All you gotta do is drop either sphere or cyl by 0.25 diopters for our new glasses. Don't drop both sphere and cyl, only drop one or the other. Some folks can get away with a 0.50 change, but for now just do 0.25. Smaller changes actually gives you more progress speed I find as your eyes more quickly adapt to the small changes. Doing bigger jumps is slower in the long run. Be the turtle. So using our model lets say we lower sphere. Our new glasses will be -4.75 sphere, -3.5cyl. Things will be blurry at first but give it time and eventually you will eventually realize you see perfectly clear. This can take weeks, months really depends on the person and more importantly how often you are staring at things up close. Avoid using your phone for entertainment. If your going to watch something make sure its tv distance as far as possible away. Focus on small font on the tv. Really focus actively looking at small font from far away at least 10-15ft away from the screen. When you drive focus on the farthest signs you can see and make out the letters. Look far as possible as often as you can. Often you will find you can read clearly far away then you stare at your phone for a minute and look up and realize you cant read the letters on the screen again. The lenses of your eyes are stretching to do the splits (20/20). But you gotta keep stretching those lenses to get them back to normal. If you look at something up close or stop look far or lose focus the lenses loses their flexibility and want to go back to the poor vision. Gotta not let off the gass. Luckily though with this process the act of just having a slightly lower diopter is a ever present passive stretch. So even if you do nothing eventually you will progress - jsut may take months where for others its weeks or a month. Also dont get unencouraged if your vision goes up and down clear one day blurrier the next. Its normal. Like any graph things go up and down but the main thing is the downward trend to 20/20. Also the first change I find takes the longest, but as you progress it gets a little faster. May be due to getting better technique over time. But it gets easier I find. Following the model once more lets say you finally see at -4.75sph and -3.5cl clearly and ready to drop again. Awesome! Next drop will be another 0.25, so -4.50sph and -3.50 is your new glasses prescription next. Some say its best to do 2 changes in sphere then 1 change in astigmatism/cyl. So the next change after you can go for -4.50sph and -3.25cyl. Now keep in mind in this change this is your first time changing astigmatism so expect it to take longer than your sphere with your eyes already used to stretching that way. Also I find astigmatism does take longer to fix than sphere, but I'm still on that journey as well to really say for sure haha. And thats really all there is to it. You can supplement with bates method stuff like palming and sunning but personally didn't bother with it myself. Wouldn't hurt though. Jake Steiner would be a good resource as well, but really there is to it at its core is doing small 0.25 changes to diopter - wait till you see 99% clearly then drop another 0.25 again. Remember only do one change at a time not both sphere and cyl. Best of luck. Thanks for reading. Feel free to ask me anything. Edit: Oh yea one more thing. Dont expect your eyes to improve throughout the day. For me anyways it seemed like whenever I went to bed and woke up is when my vision actively improved. I think its when your resting when the eyes really starts self correcting itself.

@iPervy
@iPervy 11 ай бұрын
@swxta lol no worries ask away anytime. The doctors are baffled and they actually say dont do it, but they cant argue with my progress. Also i really recommend getting your eyes checked before starting and getting an exact perscription to start with so you can track your journey every few months visiting your optometrist to see how things progess. Sometimes when you lower your cyl or even sph your axis also changes and youll need to change accordingly. Also get a pd measurement as accurate as possible (distance between your pupils) if you order your glasses on your own. You should never be straining. focus on having relaxed eyes. most improvent happens when you sleep. haha for me i like to drink alot of carrot juice because i just like it and take omega 3 which both seem to help in eye health. though I cant say for sure of they do practically. Just drop a .25 in either your sph or cyl (not both) and give it some time and youll see progress naturally just living passively. Do avoid looking up close to things if any way possible though for better progress.
