I see it as each hand has its own jurisdiction but it just takes time to type fast also if there’s a typing test that says you can’t look at your keyboard don’t listen cus i do 40 words a Minute and i still look at my keyboard when typing big paragraphs

learning a lot of basic words separately helps you to develop a feeling of how it works for any word

The slow way is basically the way i as taught in school... i never really grasped it and im using always the fast way because its well... faster.

I say, people should only aim to reach the speed they need. If you want to type fast for the sake of being fast, ditch the qwerty and learn steno.

For me I type the word catch almost immediately my method is just Use your thumb on the C since it's so close to the space bar already, Ring finger for the A, pointer finger on the T, once again my thumb on the C and it's faster this way since I never had to let my thumb off the letter C, and my right hand pointer finger for the H really fast
