Its the end of legacy of gods😭🩹 best series and characters ever Talking bout 'god of war' the book was amazing the epilogues were theeee bestt, but i somehow missed REU and TKU vibes which were a part of all the previous books 📚 ,,yet the book was amazing I'm still biased over 'God of wraith' and 'God of Malice' Loved 'god of pain' and 'god of ruin' too(there stories were soo amazing) 'God of war' and 'god of fury' were soo goodd❤ God of war was not similar to previous books but it was something unexpected and amazing ❤ I hope there will be a new series featuring there children too🩹❤️🤌

I've heard pretty disappointing things about Not in Love. I had the ARC but ran out of time and then I didn't want to once reviews were coming out. People don't seem to get that just because you add more sex than normal into a book... that doesn't make it Erotic Romance. Erotic Romance is actually deeply romantic usually because the plot is moved by the intimacy. There doesn't even need to be Tons of it. It's about what it does to the characters. And not many people get that. 🤷‍♀️
@AjaReads

Yup you are 100% right of course. It sucks because I know she can do better. Sierra Simone should teach a class on Erotic Romance honestly. Yeah it's better that you skipped this one, so many other good books to read!

I did feel like the romance didn't get as much time to shine as I wanted for them. This honestly felt the heavier of the series. I just felt for them both so much. As someone who fears institutions SO badly... I understood not wanting to go there. Also, she almost ended herself the last time she was in there... I understood the fear. Even though the hospital WAS best at the end... and I'm glad she did go. It was her choice at the end. Forced institutionalization is one of my biggest fears. So that's my own personal bias. It was a great story. I enjoyed your thoughts!! I'll be ruminating on this one for a long time.
@AjaReads
@AjaReads 6 күн бұрын
It's so interesting how our own fears and experiences can shape a reading experience so much. That's the beauty of reading. Yeah forced institutionalization sounds awful. I'm also glad it was her decision in the end. Eli just broke my heart. I have to say I haven't been able to stop thinking about Ava and Eli ever since I read their book. This may be one of those few books where I will change the rating later on to a 5 star.

oh no. I haven't read any of Rina's work yet, and I'm slowly making my way through Ali's works. it's such a shit feeling when you've been looking forward to a favourite author's new release and it's not at all what you were expecting or wanted it to be.

I'm currently making my way through Abby Jimenez's first series before I attempt her second, and I loved the heck out of the first one, I'm not sure why it gets dragged. I mean sure there's a miscommunication trope, but like once you get something stuck in your head... it can be hard to let that go. I'm also trying to make my way though Ali Hazelwood's books before I read Bride even though there's zero connection between them. I enjoyed Wild Love but not as much as I had been hoping I would, but based on the little bit at the end I think I'm going to enjoy the second one quite a bit.

I think people have a problem with the representation of infertility in Abby's first book (if I remember correctly). I love Ali's books, so I'm sure you're going to have a lot of fun reading her books!!

thank you for reminding me that I want to read more Mariana Zapata, I've read The Wall of Winnipeg and Me, and All Rhodes Lead Here both were five stars. and I also recommend The Lost and Found series, I'm not sure how you usually read interconnected standalone romances, but please read them in order because of uhm, reasons. okay?

I've not read any of those books, but I do have my eye on Rina Kent, and eventually want to start reading all of her works. Or, I want to try her first book and see how I feel about it and go from there. favourite books for May were definitely the first two in the Dragons of Ember Hollow series, and if I had been paying attention I probably wouldn't have started them until the third came out because it's driving me crazy that I have to wait till July for the third.

single parent is definitely a favourite, leaning more towards single dad but I've read some mom books that I enjoyed. I also love enemies to lovers and if why-choose is a trope than that's probably number one.

I need to read more single mom romances. I wanted to include why-choose, but I’m saving that for the sub-genre edition! What are your favorite why-choose romances? I haven’t read a lot of them
@Micmezle

@@AjaReads tbh, I haven't read a lot of why-choose either, but some faves are Losers I and II, Order of Scorpions, and Dragons of Ember Hollow. also Pucking Around but I see you've already read that.

holy geez, you did a bang up job. I've read one of the books from the perfectly imperfect series, but I've just bookmarked the whole thing to read. and I think I should try and start reading more mafia books in general, whenever I hear people talk about them they just sound damn entertaining.

so far I've not heard anyone say anything good about Lore of the Wilds, which is just so disappointing. I mean, just based on the cover alone it looks to be a good book, and the synopsis sounds entertaining and yet. I kind of feel bad for the author, though I'm sure there are people out there loving and praising the book.

I too absolutely adored the heck out of Funny Story. I still haven't read People We Meet On Vacation, so I'm not sure where it would go in my ranking, but maybe 3rd?
