In my city I live in an apt building that has a very instagrammable porch with columns and has colors that rep our city. I often see younger people doing mini photoshoots on our stoop and I dont bother them because they're being harmless. The private, old lady part of me hates that my address is getting passed around for IG aesthetic. I think when it comes to openness it can come across as authentic and relatable. I am a more reserved person and dont like when people try to force me to share extremely private things. Its hard because I do want to be cool with people but I used to be way more open and it got me in a world of mess and hurt.

In terms of engagement and product sales, transparency is definitely a factor that can aid in success. I do feel like now some celebrities and influencers feel a sense of power in not oversharing. They want to share their lives, but just enough and not too much. Perhaps the whole ‘I’m still a person’ mindset is what drives this? Just because I’m a celebrity doesn’t mean I have to share every last detail of my life with the world if I don’t WANT to. Of course that comes with its consequences seeing that people feel disconnected, but I think people as people reserve the right to decide how open they want to be about their personal lives; they just have to know if they live in secrecy they won’t reap the same benefits as someone who may be more transparent!

You’re so smart and such a beautiful women of God I love your content and opinions so much. But I’m more on the over sharing side. I’m the same sign and Rihanna and I find that people like charisma because it’s a kind of inside beauty and when you’re outgoing just enough people feel like they know you and are Interested. But not to much

My opinion, an increased tech-driven society means we’re more connected yet separate than ever. The big jump in oversharing and “personal” content during c0Vd set the tone for content now imo. Then celebs jumped on the bandwagon to appear relatable after ppl were tired of privilege/wealth displays amidst a contrasting reality for many. I feel the only celebs who’ve stopped over sharing are the ones who experienced the most backlash from it. Completely agree about so many feeling entitled to celebs lives and I think that comes from people getting used to them sharing so much and blogs posting/sensationalising it all.

You don’t have to over share to share aspects of ur life like Rihanna for example. Beyonce could talk about her fav looks, if she likes her hair better up or down, does she prefer stilettos or platforms, her fav collab, some of her fav looks on Kelly & Michelle, if she likes a natural or full glam beat, her fav stylists, her deciding to wear the honey blonde indefinitely, encouraging working moms-the list goes on and none of that really tells her personal business.

I respectfully disagree. I really appreciate people who share their lives and want to show us who they are. But you cannot sell me ANYTHING based on personality and that is what most of the sharing is about.

I dont understand why Beyonce keeps trying the same formula but expecting different results. Why hasnt her tean said anything to her? She clearly wants to retire like Rhianna and just let her business speak for itself but shes cant do that unless she comes outside more, does interviews, has launch parties with regular people not influencers, and post short videos. She should just let Tina handle the business side of things cuz at least she talks to people.🤷🏽‍♀️

Tbh i get why ppl are starting to not care about Kylie's issue. However lets not pretend they didn't bully that girl into changing her face. We were all there. We heard what they said about her as a CHILD and even what they said about Khloe. Now she changed and capitalized on her looks ....ppl praised her when she was hot and now she isn't and all of a sudden it's f**k Kylie. This world is thriving on hypocrisy...sadly, i don't think it will ever stop.

Yeah Kylie had a rough upbringing on TV & is the youngest of 10 (Jenner's + Kardashians) + was basically a jailbait icon, which just caused a bunch of creeps to be around her when she was naive + vulnerable. But, she still did cash in on it & rip people off by lying and selling garbage made by exploited workers - so my sympathy is nullified by her lack of ethics.

It’s not 2 Timothy. It’s second Timothy like second Corinthians. If you ever hear them say scripture they don’t say the cardinal number if it’s more than one. They say the ORDINAL number. Donald trump did that once. That’s how you know he don’t read the Bible. Also that’s how you recognize new folk.

I think people just questioned your admiration for Beyoncé because it looks at odd with the Christian faith you profess. When Beyoncé sings a song with her husband about “plugging her menses with the Holy book” (using pages of the Bible as a tampon), it makes one wonder how you can support an artist who blasphemes the God of the Book you pull your “verse of the day” from. No one (at least I’m not) is trying to judge harshly, but in love. But great, insightful video.

When it comes to Beyoncé not to excuse her lack of personality or reaching her fans on a personal level but if I remember correctly, although she wasn’t super bubbly back in the day when she did do interviews, paparazzi and networks would tear her apart , there were always rumors swarming despite people respecting her talent and music . So I think she went into hiding because she got tired of how she was portrayed in the media (whether it was true or not) and constantly being attacked. Also she just has that old school media training to not respond to everything and everyone .

we were never meant to have this much access to ppl, celebrities AND civilians! social media is a completely different reality for most ppl now, it's lowkey terrifying. ESPECIALLY the effects on the younger generation coming up. on beyoncé, she's from a different time where you were only seen/heard when you were working so i'm not entirely surprised that she's so quiet these days! she is criticized for any and everything anyways lol, damned if you damned if you don't!

I am only at 4:02 but I have a MESSAGE FOR TONI after her comment to not share what you believe in: You hold your faith incredibly close to you as evident by your draw to read a Biblical passage at the start of each video. It is incredibly uncommon for a content creator to have an audience who all share the same beliefs or even the same faith. Even those who belong to the fundamentalist Christian sect. Even so, no one should shame, mock, or make you feel uncomfortable for sharing what is clearly an important part of yourself. I do not belong to your faith, nor do I personally find it appropriate given that this is not a religious channel, paired with it feeling like a contradiction with majority of topics that follow, BUT with that said I still respect your right to express your faith in YOUR CONTENT. Unless the beliefs you are espousing are inherently harming others (mentally, physically, emotionally, or spiritually), having conviction in yourself & your core morals is not only worth standing on, but imperative to defend.

And it’s so sad how they only mock Christianity, but they cant mock Muslims or any other religion because then they get cancelled. It’s so normalized to mock Christian’s, there’s so many people that never became famous or known just because they didn’t sell their soul or worship the d3#vil 🙁
