Hey buddy, love your videos. Ive been ready to get a grill for some time now but there is so many to choose from. I love the Z grills, the reviews and bang for your buck seems to outweigh everything else... I watched your 450B video and still waiting to see your next model you got.... I take its the one you just used.... is it the 700D4E with wifi? and if so would you recommend that over the 450B even if both models had no WIFI what would you choose for a small family and maybe some weekend cook ups for the family and friends? Thanks mate have a nice day

@@lukehenderson8042 hey man thanks for watching! I have been slacking a little with my videos, lots been going on. I have used the 700d4e multiple times though and have been loving it. The increased size is great, but it does run a little hotter than the temp says I have noticed! The 450B is a great smoker for smaller cooks, ribs, pork butts, prime ribs, half briskets, chickens, but if you are wanting to do full size briskets or turkeys you really want to step up the size. I have done a full size brisket in the 450b and it didn't turn out great, it fit, but I don't think there was enough room for proper airflow. The wifi isn't a huge factor, honestly ZGrills app leaves a lot to be desired and if you are home all day while cooking it's just as easy to step outside and see it. So you could step into a bigger size without wifi and save some money as well. I just suggest having a probe thermometer you leave in the smoker to see what the actual temp is running to make sure you are close to what you are wanting to cook at. My 450b was pretty accurate, the 700d4e is about 20 to 30degrees off so I have to make that mental adjustment when setting my cook temp. I will have to get my video done on that soon!

@@GorillaJoesBBQ Hey man thank you so much for the reply I really appreciate it. Ok so money is not a factor to me as I love to buy quality over something that will not last. Now your response was excellent thank you and I do not need the biggest grill nor will I be cooking a full sized brisket.... So im down to 2 choices.... The Z grills 450B for $699 New Zealand dollars or the Broil King Crown 400 for $2099 New Zealand Dollars.... I love broil king and after doing a ton of research everything is telling me to get that one however everyone is telling me since its my first pallet grill get the 450b and learn what its all about... maybe after a year or 2 sell or donate that and get the more expensive one... would you say they are correct in saying that? Cheers mate and thanks for the swift reply Have a lovely day

@@lukehenderson8042 so I haven't done much research into the Broil King series of smokers. But a quick Google for me, and I know us dollars with shipping will be wildly different than New Zealand, but over here it's showing the broil king crown 400 for 900 dollars. And the ZGrills 450b is around 500. They don't seam too different, I don't know if it would be worth it to pay sooo much more in New Zealand for the broil king. Have you looked into Camp Chef at all? I don't know their shipping but if price isn't a factor I would look into their woodwind pro series, they have them in different sizes. But the main draw to those is they have a drawer you can pull out and add actual wood chunks into to give an even better smoke to the food.

@@GorillaJoesBBQ cheers brother thanks again for your swift replies.... Going to go with the 450B to start and learn as I go. Everyone is saying it's a great grill to start with and learn with, decently priced and easy to maintain and keep clean (your video was great showing that). Yeah New Zealand pricing is dreadful in all areas and after a lot of research the 450B seems to be the best bang for the buck and ticks all my boxes. Oh they are also very hard to obtain here in NZ too so far ive only found 1 place that can get them in and can take up to 3 months worse case if they run out of stock so yeah. Thank you so kindly for your help, videos and replies its made this process a lot smoother for me =) hope you are well, take care and best of luck in your future endeavours 😄 I was just having a look and I have to wait 2 months for a 450B and the 700D4E (without wifi) is in stock and ready to ship so oh dearrrrrrry me back to that dreaded decision hahahaha not much more cost and you get a bigger grill, 2 meat probes and a cupboard underneath...... im stuck lol what would you do? 🤣

@@lukehenderson8042 haha I personally don't know if I could wait the 2 months to start smoking! 😂 The 700 increased size is nice and the cabinet is handy for storing pellets! If you have the itch to start smoking right away I'd go for it. Haha

Sorry if you addressed this and i missed it but I would recommend building your legs on wheels first, and then welding your pipe on the legs/base. Then you can push it around while you are working on it. Cheers Also. It’s also going to be at a workable height for when you add your firebox or whatnot. Get a rolling chair

Had to clean up our Blackstone griddle, a wire wheel on a drill is alot faster and easier. The steel wire didn't seem to scratch it either. But ya could use a brass wheel if you were worried about scratches.

Has anyone compared or have experience with both this 35633 model and the newer 415bz? I asked monument if there were any real differences and their response: “The burners of the 35633 are ordinary burners with two side burners. The M415BZ has only one side burner. The M415BZ is a gas grill with a Broil Zone located on the right side of the firebox.The Broil Zone features two standard main burners and one Monument Patented Blade Infrared Burner. These three burners can generate extra high heat on the right part of the cooking surface to sear your steaks. If you don't want a sear zone in the firebox, simply turn off the burner with the red knob. It remains an excellent four-burner gas grill. Whether or not to use the infrared burner is up to you.” Sounds like the only difference is the searing burner is inside the firebox instead of dedicated off to the left side like here in the 35633. I also like these colors of the 35633 better.
@GorillaJoesBBQ
@GorillaJoesBBQ Ай бұрын
So you are exactly right. I have had both and the only difference is the sear zone. This one has the extra burner inside the grill instead of a sear zone side burner. I would be happy with either one, if you like the colored ones better I'd go that direction, the sear zone side panel is pretty cool to have on its own!

I can't help but notice that everyone of your choices in all 4 competition videos you always picked the second one. With one exception. The first video you did pick the first one which happened to be the drunken chefs seasoning. All others was the second bite. If you did it all over and reversed the choices, would you still chose the second one? Lol. Maybe a drink of water in between bites to cleanse the palate better?
