Yes we saw the stars most nights as the sky was clear and there is minimal light pollution there :)

What's the name of the airport in Maldives? Do you have to arrange a transfer from the airport to Cinnamon Velifushi resort?

It's called Velana International Airport in Male. You have to get a sea plane or speedboat transfer to Cinnamon Velifushi resort. We arranged this through our package holiday with TUI :)

Yes, Porto Santo is a lovely small island with a great beach. We stayed at the Pestana hotel back in 2011 and really enjoyed it.
